how to get a job as a bouncer

im not too big @ 5'8 190 , but i plan on going close to 200 in the next coupla weeks. Any chance of getting a job. Whats the best way to go about it ??

All depends on how you can handle yourself. I've seen a bouncers my height at 5'7"... Sure they were bulky, but could take care of themselves and others...

first off you are 5'7. you could be the toughest mofo in the entire world and it won't work out. You're not gonna get hired... and if you do, every punk guy is gonna start a fight with you cuz they misjudged you as the "little guy". Second... bouncing is gay. Why risk your life for like $10 an hour?? Half my friends bounce and they want me to do it too, but i won't. Turns out one of my friends, who is like the toughest mofo in the world.. puts up almost 500... kicked the fuck out of some kid this weekend while he was bouncing. the kid came back and slit his throat and cut his ear right off. My buddy almost died. Lost half the blood in his body. I doubt $60 a night is worth that. You wanna show how tough you are get into boxing. that way you live to see another day. You never know what kind of crazy fucks are out there these days.

Sometimes i get so pissed at the shit i see when i go out. Like some cockmaster will pick a fight with someone cuz they bumped into them. It makes no sense man. What does it prove?? About 2 yrs ago i almost killed a guy that got in my face at a party trying to act tough. He was in the ER for 7 hrs. Had to get reconstructive surgery done to his face and everything. The only reason he is alive today and I am not in jail was cuz his friends broke it up. I had a couple scratches on me. that's it. What did I accomplish doing it though?? I didn't want to beat the guy down, but i was forced to. I go out to have a good time. Not get in a fight.

I'm sorry I'm ramblin on, but shit like this happens everywhere.

True. And I if I recall correctly, the best of them know how to control a situation without fighting.
The idea is to prevent a situation, not to beat the hell out of everyone at the club.

You big enough bro, it has more tyo do with your ability to talk and the way you handle yourself ins ticky situations, the last thing you need or want in a bouncer is someone who is losing his cool, and is a stuttering fool when he has to talk to a patron, it can be a good job if you don't mind the insults, late hours, and not drinking. Perosnally I think its great if you are a student like me, i have been working in bars for almost 3 yrs now and will continue to do so for a while to come.
