How to develop punching speed/strength

learn good technique and practice punching, shadow boxing, heavy bag etc, power and speed will come with more practice

Weight Liftign - especially Compound Lifts , Pushups on your Knuckles and Clapping Pushups , Learniung to Walk on yoru hands , Yoga .

we just started doing the ross boxing workout, and I think they are excellent ideas. You must workout the muscles that are involved in the 'actual' mechanics of throwing a punch----most weight-lifting workouts do not do this.

I've done a ton of weight training, boxing moves, polys and mma stuff but I recently babysat my niece and nephew which proved to be the most effective training ever.
I hung one off each arm and started shadow boxing. Not only did they start swinging around on my arms but the little rat bastards also kept trying to kick me which meant I had to move my body around whilst simulating punches.
Needless to say we did that on and off for 4 hours and I was completely fried.
I strongly recommend small children to develop punching power and increase the bob and weave whilst counter punching skills.

I got most of that
but Knuckle Pushups do you mean that they help with punching power and speed or just strengthen your wrists so when you punch hard you dont' get hurt

Knuckle Pushups ...

Make your Hand Bones more dense
Make your Hand Skin tougher
Provide a way to use Resistance Training in the same Exact Form that you use when you Punch .
Brace said Resistance in the same places and ALINGMENT that you meet it when you Punch .
Strengthens all of the Secondary Use muscles Ligaments and Tendons used in the Motion of Punching .
