How the hell do I get over my fear of taking a needle?

Make sure your wife is around when you do it. I was really nervous my first time and almost passed out from the anxiety by the time I was done. I had to lay on my bathroom floor for a few minutes until the color came back in my face. Now my wife cringes when I jab a pin into my trap while I'm watching tv.


And no matter where you decide to inject it, you're going to be REALLY sore the next few days. That also added to my nerves. I had a hard time walking after both of my first glute shots. I started to wonder if I had done something wrong.

I'l tell you how its done...
get an empty syringe with a needle on it and practise pricking yourself...
see first hand how its painless...
I wasnt prepared to do needles until i did that and saw how simple it is
push it in against your thigh and see how easily all that needle goes in without any feeling or effort at all
once youve mastered that
lie to yourself
get everything ready..
dont admit to yourself your taking the shot
fill the barrel with 1cc and pushi t in how you learnt to with the empty syringe...
only this time when it goes in apply a little pressure to the plunger and watch it all disappear...
thinking about it is waaaay way worse, the mind magnisifies it and the more you think about it the more weight your giving it and the more insurmountable the task seems...the reality is different....but i cant belive you have a nurse for a wife...man...let her complete the mission....

I use a 22g. And its a breeze, but have to admit it was hard at first..

All it takes is one time, thats it. you'll feel like an ass for being so scared!

Id go to ass first, It realy isnt that bad, first time a friend kinda gave me the low down on where and what to do, I never jab it in just slo n easy. you realy cant feel anything at all. youll be like wtf ,thats it?

it seems the quad would be easier b/c i can see clearly what im doing.... shooting myself in the ass, now that's kind of scary

i love this talk about that first shot! BRINGS BACK MEMORIES! my first one took me well over 2 hours cause i HATE and kind of needle....i finnaly said f**k this and tried to just stick it in my ass but for me its kind of difficult to twist and stick and push it in at the same time....so i decided to go with my quad. that first stick had me sooo nervous ...ok now im sure this is a pussy move...but i took ice and numbed the skin so i would not feel ANYTHING at all. it worked wonders...the next few sticks i did that till i got the balls up to just deal with it. it was nothing after that!

now the only place i shoot is quad and i just started delt. i wanna site shot chest and bi's so question for you guys out there.... how are chest and bi shots?a and so you asperiate (spelling) i think its bad but i never have.

first time i gave a shot to myself it didnt take too long, but i ended up getting clogged ears and got real pale. its a wonder i didnt pass out.

You have a medical professional who does this kind of stuff everyday at home - how perfect! Close your eyes and tell her do it (keep the muscles relaxed). These posts are funny cause I can totally relate.
