I have those days where i feel real sore and know i did a good job but there are those days where i work my ass off and dont feel sore. My question is...even if i am not sore are my muscles still fatigued enough to grow the same as if they felt sore? Any help would be appreciated.

I dont know the scientific answer, but from experience, I cant make strength gains without soreness, but it seems to plateaux after a while. Soreness from hard work seems to almost guarentee gains (if diet and rest is in check).

everytime you workout your muscles get used to that amout of stress over a period of time....as far as soreness is concerned,if u continually overload ur muscles you tend to get sore.....also ur diet plays a key factor......once i had 25 grms of glutamine before a chest workout and wasn't sore the next day......

soreness isn't an indication of a good workout. certain factors help or hurt the pain.
if you are very sore, take some tylenol and get lots of sleep.

When strength training i usually do not get as sore as doing higher rep BB stuff, its more of a fatigue not the DOMS soreness.

Just a little tip: they say running after strength training reduced the soreness the next day. It has something to do with lactic acids, it pushes them around in other needed spots, rather then when you stretch after a workout (which your supposed to) it brings all the lactic acids to your joints, which makes all your muscles groups sore. They say to run about 1/4 of a mile after all workouts to reduce the soreness.

then again i no dick, im just saying what i've heard. correct me if im wrong guys

If you take in a 4 to 1 protien to carb ratio within 30 minutes of your work out it greatly reduces soreness. I kinda like being a little sore, it makes me feel alive.

sorness does not matter.

I agree.. I get extremely sore if I take off and start back up..

Once I am flowing in my routine though I get mild soreness if any at all with quick healing. Especially when on creatine + juice + high protein well balanced diet getting all my bcaa and vitamins.
