How often you go running?

I would be very happy if I never had to run another day in my life. Well, at least not on fucking tracks. I don't mind running on scenic routes as much, though.

how often? Not enough. I have to get my time up faster. I'm too slow, I can only run 1.5 miles in 12:00, and I'm dying afterwards. (that's like my bare minimum standards). I guess its not that bad for a fatass, but still, I need to be faster. It doesn't help when you're squatting 3x a week, though. :xeye:

I ran about 1.9 miles (3050 metres) in cooper's test when I was competing in powerlifting and lifting my best lifts. Don't know how much I could ran now but I guess 1.5 would go.

up until 2 weeks ago, i was running about 5 times a week (and had been doing so for a few months) then i kinda burnt out and got slack :(

on the bright side, i worked out how to use my coffee machine yesterday, and so at 9pm, wired as hell from all that caffeine, i went for a 9km run along the beach ;). hopefully ill get back into the swing of it, since ive been feeling a bit frumpy ;)

In the summer I go running 4-5 times a week, usually 5 or 6 miles....In the winter though, that decreases to about 2-3 times a week. I just can't get motivated to run on a treadmill.

I won't be running tonight for the past hour i've been falling asleep at computer.

running fucken sucks.. shin splints own me.
lol the first 2 months of wrestling season was awful on my feet and lower legs... i hadnt ran since 30 pounds before

Had to quit running about a year ago. . .my knees are bone-on-bone. :worried:

Now, I use the elliptical, rower and heavy bag to get's me cardio.

I run everyday 1 mile to warm up before training.

that is about it, I run more and I get my knees fuxxored... so no thanks.

At least 3 or 4 times a week, also organize special hash runs in the jungle. Not sure on the distances but the runs range between 1 to 3 hours in duration.

When I played Football they ran us 2 times a day for 3 hours a pop for 2 months 6 days a week

they worked us so hard you could only eat once a day or you would not be able to keep any food down.

after that I became convinced that people can do anything if they put the mind to it.

now I run 1-2 times a week and treat my leg days like Marathion events with heavy weight

Not often as I really don't care for it....but got told yesterday that I *have* to start running to help my knee/leg get stronger.....bleh

Utter bullshit right here. What you just said is that you basically ran two marathons a day, 6 days a week for two months. Even the world's best runners couldn't, and wouldn't attempt to do that. It's ridiculous to claim that some football team did.

Why can't people contribute to a thread without grossly exagerrating? It's just silly.

its not exagerating bro, its true and if you dont believe it that not my problem.

to be clear we drank gatorade at lunch and at one meal at night

also the "running" was us doing agilites, plays and numerous laps

ALL THE TIME, with no let up in site

so yes it was hardcore

Two-a-days are brutal, yes. I know them well. But it wouldn't be exactly true to say you ran for 3hrs. A lot of it is learning plays, executing drills, etc. Teams that practice twice a day usually do it for less than a month at the beginning of the season and the sessions are shorter than 3hrs.

I'm not saying you're a liar just that you really exagerrated in your previous post.

Running for 3hrs twice a day would be impossible to sustain for a few days, much less 2 months.

i believe it... but its just fucking stupid to do... one meal a day? some skinny ass fucking football players.

not neccessarily running, but in wrestling we had 3 hour practices that was all cardio work, not neccsarily nonstop but mostly...first the warmup run, drills, wrestling, sprints at the end, i

I hafta run. When I don't run, I turn into a cranky MEGA B*TCH.
I do 25-30 miles a week. I was doing a lot more a few years ago..... but not anymore.
It's cheaper than therapy. It's the fastest way to make my legs feel great. Plus, it really effects my energy level at work.
I always run outside. Treadmill is 2boring. I run outside all year long. Rain, snow, sunshine...... ALWAYS outside.

Do you run every day? Have you run a 10K or a 5K for time?
