How often do you switch w/o routines?

PinkPanther

New member
I started my w/o routine right before the new year, and I am just wondering how long I should keep doing this one before I switch it up. Right now it looks like this:

Mondays: Chest and Back
Wednesdays: Legs
Fridays: Arms and Shoulders

Also, any recommendations of HOW to switch it up would be appreciated, too.

Thanks,
PinkPanther :)

i would give it at least 12 weeks to see how it works for you, and make changes accordingly (scheduling, overtraining, a lagging bodypart could be given more priority, etc) I never really drastically change what i am doing, i just slightly tweake it every so often. Im actually doing Needsize's 5x5 (was doing low volume, dc style training before) just to see how my body will respond to the added volume, this is my first big change in a while.

Training routines are not set in stone, walkingbeast does 8 million sets and somehow puts up some serious weights, while others train uber low volume and get results. I think that once you find something that you can consistently gain on, there is no reason to change it, just cycle your intensity.

Bingo

Once you hit a point where you are not seeing changes or making gains you switch it up. Hit the muscles in different ways to stimulate new muscle growth.
