How often do you hit each muscle

just out of curiosity, how often do you hit each muscle...do you do standard BB style with the chest day, leg day, back day, shoulder day, or do you mix body parts and hit it more frequently?

also whats your reasoning for doing it how you do it
 
right now:
tuesday and fri: squats/deads and assistance
wed and sat: bench, rows and assistance + some DB/BB curls

why:
1) convenient in relation to time
2) adequate rest while hitting body parts 2x
3) IMHO 2x per week should be the min
4) you could probably combine 2 & 3 and make it WSBB (the 2nd B stands for bastardized :p )
 
Twice every 8 days at the moment.

Push day- bench, incline, squat
pull day- pullup, row, DL
2 days off.


It fits very well into my schedule. intensity of squats and DL's will be rotated once the weights get high again. I just restarted a 5x5
 
basic, scatterbrained stuff. something like:

chest/tris/bis (2-3 sets of curls and that's it)

shoulders

back

and sometimes i'll throw in lower body stuff in another workout, calves here and there, hammies here and there. haven't done a proper lower body day in a few weeks. even then, it's only squats, SLDL, leg presses, calf raises.

i take a shit long time between sets, so i keep volume low and get out in hopefully no more than 60 minutes. few exercises, few sets, not more than 6 reps most of the time.

i recommend this for the lazy who don't want to think for more than 2 or 3 minutes at a time.

i'm only back in the gym a few months now after 2.5+ years off...in a while, i suppose i'll fix it up, maybe bump the overall volume of work. but i care more for lifts going up.
 
right now twice a week

mon/tues/ off /th/fri
chest/shoulders/tris
legs/back/bis

sometimes full body 3xs a week depends on the what phase i'm in
i never do the typical bb routine b/c i think for hypertrophy you have the stimulate the muscle more often than once a week
 
I go back and forth - sometimes I have a routine where I do each bodypart once a week, sometimes I try to break up every bodypart and do everything twice a week. And then at other times sometimes I will just focus on a coupel bodyparts and do those twice a week, while I do everything else only once a week.

It is good to mix it up - keeps the body guessing and adapting.
 
i do my whole body in a 2-day split and I do the split 3 times a week, so I work out 6 times a week and the whole body gets trained thrice... lol

I do it because I've grown addicted to the gym and it's been working out for me very well so far
