how often do you guys train calves

I've never trained calves before and now they are an important part of my training. How often can i train them? How often do you guys train calves?
 
i do once a week, but i absolutely destroy them, i just do multiple sets, no set amount of reps, and just kill em on seated toe raises. i got this nice little peak in the middle of em now, looks kinda rowdy.
 
3.5x/week....like everything else. It seems to work pretty well. Haha just meaured my calves for first time after starting this HST cycle. They went from 15 to 15.25 inches after almost 3 weeks! Maybe finally they'll stop sucking so heavily.

I actually notice a considerable difference in size when i train them 4 days/week. just 3 sets, no extreme weight. perfect, slow reps til failure. make sure youre feeling it.

for me, i feel that frequency is key for calf size. After completing army basic training, my calves became huge. every single day consisted of either miles of running, or miles of road marching. that should tell you something---->(frequency)
 
2x...one time is hard and heavy and the other is just to do them.

Usually 2 x's week, sometimes just once...I really like the DC way to do it...nice and slow on the negative. Talk about a good burn! My calves recover very quickly, so I like to beat them up really good. :D
 
never, and they are rather large compared to my arms, etc

walking up stairs and running in gym class is enough for me

but your a big boy, t3c is not quite as large. I use to be his size...... i put most of my calf size on just from getting heavier like the other guy said...... frequency... when my calves became frequent to walking around everyday with a lot more weight. they responded well. i only train them once or twice a week not doing more than 3 sets each workout. calves like moderate reps with heavy weight, and i mean heavy, you should be doing at least double your bodyweight on standing calf raises from the first time you train them.

when i'm cutting, i do a.m cardio with the jump rope. 10 sets of 100 jumps.

i do this routine 3-5 times per week and my calves fuckin explode!

by far, the most effective way to blow up your tibialis anterior, gastrocnemius and soleus.
 
I work calves twice a week also. Between sets I jump on my toes as high as I can...from side to side and just straight up and down until they burn so bad that I have to stop. Then I hit the next set.
