How often do you drink?

last time i drank was new years, and im drinkin again on my bday in a couple of weeks. iv made alot of drinking threads on ef and its starting to remind me of evensteve's girl threads, but why does drinking have to be bad for u, fuck

I like to drink light beer (6 to 10 beers) once a week. I never drink the night before a morning training session. I don't think it interferes with my training or supplement cycles at all.

i dont juice, so im tryin to see what juicers vs non juicers opinions of alcohol are, if thats what u mean by supplement cycles..

drinking excessively is just wrong for bbers.

It dehydrates you, and the next day you are in no shape to deal with iron.

I drink too much, haven't done anything illegal in over seven years and I haven't gained appreciable muscle in many, many years. :)

my names golden, and im an alcomoholic ever since i moved to this city

back home, i was watching my diet, doing cardio like a madman, and lifting stupendous weight for my size/natty status

now i go out everynight, binge eat after i go drinking, discover new veins on my chest and shoulders every other workout, and my strength is unchanged...making my powah to weight ratio even better

life is strange ;)

Drinking has nothing to do with juicing when you are trying to gain muscles. Alcohol depletes your body of essential vitamins and minerals needed for protien sythesis for two days. Basically you are just wasting your time trying to gain muscle if you going to drink at lease for two days you are losing the ability to rebuild what you tore down.

so if i wann drink and then go workout the next day its pointless, and counter productive, its better to plan and not workout the day before i drink and the day after, basically taking 3 days off?

so by not drinking i am actually doing something good?

Is this dependant upon amounts of alcohol? elaborate please! I have a glass a wine on occasion... like one, and it has not seemed to affect me in the slightest.

drinking at a party, scoring 3 girls and having an awesome time leaves you feeling good for weeks, resulting in a positive mental and biochemical state taht is super conducive to growth and wellbeing

therefore, its sublimes duty to go out, have some hooch and get laid, in the interest of better health and muscleyness

CASE CLOSED *doof*

There was a study/thread in here actually that I read that had a link that was very interesting since I am no longer plat I can not search it but it is in here somewhere. As far as whether one glass or one case I am not sure but it had to do with the fact that any alcohol depletes certain required vitamins/minerals for about two days necessary for building muscle. (Synthesizing protien into muscle). I dont think it is going to harm if you are cutting or losing fat just when you are trying to gain muscle.

By the way I am going to be in Vegas Thursday and Friday this week and at least one trip a month for the next year and a half for a project we are doing there maybe we will walk by each other some day and never know it??

I have drank myself on occasion while trying to gain. I did not say anything about that. I just take the next couple days off from downing extra calories.

Not exactly. Lifting is just tearing down your muscles. The real gaining happens the next five or so days afterwards as your body rebuilds itself. So basically a couple days after drinking your body cant really rebuild itself. At this point I am not sure exactly but my theory is that since you did tear your muscles down it will simply take longer than the average 5 days to rebuild itself completely

come on really

Yep.

Not sure how many back surgeries you have had (after not training for a year cause of the nerve issues), but after my surgery, it's a slow and long road back to full health.

I'm on my way though, feeling really good about my progress thus far (check out my log for more info). :artist:

do you still have daily pain?

Not really, no. I have some discomfort as a result of certain activities (cross-country flights, being on-site at events for 15 hours straight, partying all night, training, etc), but it's momentary. I am pretty much exactly where I want to be. It's now about time to start pushing the weights a bit more.

this overnight shift wont be too hard i cook, clean the house and then sleep since all the residents are tucked away in bed

wow! cook? clean? I could have used you here earlier.
I'm a Trainer, amoungst other this and thats... but it's my "steady" occupation. right now I'm so busy it's kicking my ass. Prior to this last Thurs I worked 16 days in a row. I think I have done 3000 lunges in the past 2 weeks. Some of my clients need a challenge to stay motivated so they compete against me, fun in the morning but by 2, I'm dead.

sounds like a fun job though.

if ya ever need a cook and cleaner you let me know,i could use a tan and an escape from this fricken cold
