How often do you bros take a week off weightlifting?

well....not so often.
but i know that if i had i would had added quite alot muscle so ill start doing it more often.

every 8-10 week.

I just go by feel. It is better to incorporate days off IMO so you don't reach rock bottom because it takes even longer to recover. Maybe every 3-4 months, the month after that skip a day each week. So first week dont train back, second week dont train chest, third week dont train legs, etc. That way you are still working out but giving your bigger bodyparts a little extra time to recover opposed to taking everything off for a week or 2.

ive done it a few times. i dont do it regularly enough though as without having the gym to do there is too much downtime.

not really long breaks more so a few extra days here and there.

took 4 days off from doing any kind of cardio, and today i went in and ran for 20min wit 5 min cool down and still felt like i could do more.

I will usually take a week-ten days off every 2.5-3 months, that's in addition to my regular 2/3 days on 1 off sched....

Today is my last day of a week off and I can't wait to get back to the iron tomorrow morning

Does taking weeks off more often have any benefit for muscle growth? Or is it only to give your CNS a rest from heavy lifting?

i only take a day off if i feel very tired or mentally off 'cause i save the week off for when for some reason i get sick or i get my lower back pain witch it happens once or twice a year.

I don't ever plan to do it, but it usually happens maybe 2-3 times a year for various reasons (vacation etc).

To be honest, I never feel like I need to take time off, unless I'm injured. But even then, you just train around your injury.

i only miss days if im too sick to get out of bed.

havnt missed a day otherwise.

if i want a "week off", ill just take a week off my diet or something

I think it depends on how you train mainly as to how often taking a week off is necessary. It also depends on your specific ability to recover. Not everyone is the same in that regard. Nutrition plays a factor too, as does rest/sleep...and of course your age.

It's different for everyone. I know for me if I am going very heavy in a "blasting" phase, that I can only handle that for about 6 weeks until my body needs a week off. Then I ramp back up by going 2 weeks at 60-75% intensity before going all out, 110%, balls to the wall, heavy ass lifting again.
