You do realize that any one of those computers isnt worth more than 25-50 dollars..

and all that software is outdated, unsupported crap.

If you wanted to use those in a business enviroment I dont even think Microsoft would give you any official support for 90% of the licenses you hold.

Hey, I'm not trying to sell these for businesses. These are just old computers that I have lying around my house. I plan to sell them at a garage sale, or something - just trying to get an estimated price.

Donate them and ask for a reciept, unless of course you are filing 1040 EZ and can't claim itemized donations.

In that case still look in your local paper for Donatations needed.
It won't be worth the Gas to drive them to the place of sale.

correct. technically there are some legalities regarding transferring software liscenses... espcially if you're dealing w/microsoft.

anyway, when he goes to the salvation army, they'll pretty much give him a blank receipt. he can estimate the value to be 300 or whatever. I know there is a value that raises a red flag w/the IRS, I'm not sure what it is though.

Those are pretty much worthless. Even donated computers these days usually have around a 500mhz processor. I've done volunteer/charity work and they wouldn't take computers that were too old.
