How much time do you spend in the gym

Too long? Kind of subjective isn't it. I may only actually lift for 45min-1 hour, but I take as long as I need to rest between sets which usually keeps me in the gym for 1.5-2 hours.

Some of us prefer more rest time between sets.

Imo, work out at whatever pace your comfortable with. For me it's a rather easy going pace. I do my sets hard, but take plenty of rest between sets. It's not a race to see how quick I can get it done.

I spend around an hour and a half, but it depends on how many people are int eh gym, and what body parts I am working out but usually from one hour to hour and ahlf

Yes - so can I, but if I do my weights suffer.

I'd rather be able to do higher weights due to the longer rest periods, than sacrafice the weights I'm lifting in an attempt to finish within an hour.

I've tried it both ways, and rushing through a workout doesn't do anything for me, apart from leave me feeling drained.
 
Time in the gym doesn't mean shit

Time under the weight (which is not TUT) is more interesting (though it still does not take into account intensity)
 
10 to 20 minutes total
balls to the wall pure intensity then I get the fuck out the gym until 4 to 6 days later. It works for me.

That's what I was talking about. I should have made this poll only to bodybuilders, instead of just everyone replying. I see some amature bodybuilders in my gym, man, they talk too much, that's why they aint getting big. And that's why I'm getting bigger than those pansies.
 
I hear you...sometimes when I walk in the gym I see some guys talking while sitting on some machine and I ll be finished my workout and when I walk out of the gym these assholes are still there talking! I view the gym as a means to trigger growth..the social bullshit if annoying to any serious bodybuilder who means business.
