How much do petting Zoos cost to rent?

For the day? I was at my daughter`s school`s Halloween party and they had one with a pony ride and goats and stuff. The guy gave me his card but I didn`t get any prices on it. It did`nt seem like it takes too much space, could definately fit in my backyard for a birthday party or something. The kids were loving it.

They had goats, hens , ducks, rabbits, ponys... Nice. They kept them inside a 2 foot high barrier that was able to be shaped in any way they wanted, like oval or square or whatever.

Anybody done this before? prices?

Are the animals gentle? I was at African Lion Safari a year or two ago - it's this place where you drive around and they have lions, tigers, giraffes, etc. walking around out in the open and you can drive by 'em. The monkeys even come and sit and walk on your car, which is entertaining for the kids but not good for the owner of the car if they scratch or shit on your car, etc. anyway, they had a petting zoo there and the goats were vicious! Jumping up on you and shit... some little girl there started crying. I thought they were gonna bite me or something, lol. Then my ex, who I was with, went up behind one of them and went, 'Boo!' and it literally jumped like a person who'd been crept up upon. That part was amusing. Ha.

Ok seriously, I dont recall exactly how much it costs, but I remember back in high school I had to buy her dinner and a movie. So nowadays that's easy $100, plus a lot of begging and pleading. It doesnt hurt if you keep telling them "but you would if you really loved me."

But she was Irish Catholic. Maybe a methodist chick would be cheaper. I dont know for sure.

About $400 for 2 hours. That`s cool. That`s with the Pony rides included. Not bad. I asked the guy if it could be done in March and he said "sure" lol

Petting zoos are hilarious. I took my younger son to one when he was three. The little baby goats were so cute. They arent much bigger than cats. They kept trying to eat his clothes.. he got pissed.

I didnt realize how small they are when they are babies. They had baby deers, goats, sheeps and such. This was at the San Diego zoo. They kept it really clean too.
