How much cardio?

Lately not much, But if your looking to cut fat I've gotten best results in the morning right before you eat On an Empty Stomach this will burn fat quicker with less calories to burn before your body starts the fat...

For cardio i take dance lessons.

It is a much harder exercise than aerobics or bicycle.
Besides its much more fun, and more useful. You will no longer be the muscular but rigid guy at the parties, in fact you will be the sensation!
go ahead try it!

You will meet nice chicks, also!

stepmill 25 min. 4days a week..
thursdays: club box (cardio boxing class) 1hr.
just started this routine recently and like it... i didnt do much cardio before but i wanna get to 8%ish... :artist:

bro

try 25 minutes of runnung. seems to do the trick for me. I run at least 4to 5 days a week. If I can't run I do the elipticle for at least 25 minutes if not longer. Both great cardio workouts, and so far it has not effected my gaines.

good luck

20 minutes of jump rope intervals (2-3 minutes jumping, 1 minutes rest)

Benefits:
* Incredible cardiovascular workout
* Burns fat like crazy
* Impossible to cheat (some people will stay on the treadmill for an hour, but keep the intensity too low to get any real benefit - try that with the rope!)
* Builds coordination
* Endless variation possibilities keeps you from getting bored
* Less time consuming than other forms of cardio (I have read that 10 minutes of jumping = 30 minutes on a treadmill)

I usually do 2hours a day on the treadmill 5 day's a week,1hr in the morning and another hour in the evening.

For all you guys who do cardio in the mornin on an empty stomach, when to yawl lift? I personaly lift around 3pm, is that realy enough time to recover from a morning cardio session at say 10am?

I do 40mins of AM cardio on an empty stomach.... I actually go for a walk, and I really enjoy it..... I usually go at around 7am.... I come home, have breakfast, and go to the gym at around 11am..... After I lift, I get on the treadmill for another 30min session..... Now, I'm Endomorphic, so I won't burn muscle for energy as quick as you hard gainer types..... As for recovering? I have a protein shake with whole oats about 1.5hrs before the gym, and it seems to give me plenty of energy for my workout..... The only way to really see if something works for you, is to try it for yourself....

I lift at 3pm also, and if I run in the mornings I feel like I have plenty of time to recover even if I do an hours worth of cardio.

I don't like to do cardio just before lifting; I find it takes away from the quality of my workout. I Lift also around 3 PM; Cardio in the morning or after lifting is fine with me.

People tell me that quite often but I find I still am improving even with cardio before hand and I have less chance for injury as I am so warm.

How much cardio you do really comes down to your cycle, diet and training regimen....I have been doing 45min in the AM and 45min after my PM training session and have found that to be excellent for me and I have not lost any muscle and was currently training for a show...If you can only do one I would say do it in the PM after training. Now cardio is not always intented to burn stored BF as say doing it in the morning, but the real reason you want to do it is to allow you to burn more calories so you can consume more calories without adding BF, and yes tapping into stored fat is a must to get ripped.....See what works best for you bro, we are all different...
