Friend is currently using anabolics to try to maintain muscle while cutting. His maintenance calories are about 2,500 cal/day. If eating 2,500 cal/day, is 45 minutes of cardio in the morning and 45 minutes of cardio in the evening in addition to weights (lower body Sat., upper body Sun, push Tue., and pull Wed.) too much cardio?
General question: If trying to lose 2 lb./week (1,000 calorie per day deficit), how much of the defecit should one try to make-up with weights/cardio and how much of the defecit should one try to make-up with cardio?
