how much cardio does it take to burn muscle on gear?

I'll be sticking with my slow incline treadmill walks. Just look at anyone's legs who joggs, and Ronnie Coleman does an hour of slow ass stairmaster a day. So pro's do do cardio lots! Who would want to jog or sprint when you can walk a little longer and get the same results, especially when your dead tired and on a strict diet?
Agreed. I have yet to see a top level pro doing wind sprints for cardio.

Where are you guys going with this whole pro thing?

#1 - when you have that much gh and insulin flowing into your body, you can eat whatever the frick you want and get diced

#2 - a fraction will EVER be pros

#3 - 99% of the people on this board live lives that arent exactly ideal to getting shredded....I.e I bet <1% hae had boiled chicken breast, flax seed and a dry sweet potatoes for 10 weeks........you get my point bro.........the intense cardio will definately aid in fat loss.

^ That and the fact that pros are most likely in abysmal cardiovascular shape. Guys that size aren't made for sprinting. The fact that they don't even do cardio without holding onto something gives you some idea of the shape they're in.

All I will say is that none of us are Ronnie Coleman, and your body adapts very quickly to low intensity mall walking.

Silver- Thax bro.....i like the quote "If you build the temple they will come!"

My take is to do diet not cardio. I have dieted quite a few times...each time learning something diferent. Last time i did quite a bit of cardio and sacrificed too much muscle. However i notice that doing some cardio speeds up metabolism well. What i like and feel isnt burning any muscle is doing about 30 minutes at a slow jog on a very high incline.

To be honest ...training intensly is cardio....im the type of person who is all wet after a workout....especially in summer....drenched like i took a dip in the lake.

Glad to help bro! Sounds like you have a plan. Get after it and let us know how it goes!

yup..good luck......but think about what you said first....doing excessive cardio = use f muscle for fuel.....dieting doesnt require much fuel, just self-control and motivation....the chances of losing muscle on a very on point, macro inclined, diet are less than cardio. I tend to err on the side of diet, as my cardio, although 7days a week, is more for sanity than intensity....5-7 days, I can hold a conversation while doing it......1 day I could sing.......and 1 day I do nothing but sweat, perfusely.

Damn... i just noticed my typing error..:)

"My take is to do cardio not diet." Meant "My take is to diet and not cardio"
