How many sets per body part do you do?

I do mine like this


Chest 6 to 8
Back 7-9
Tris 4-5
Legs 5-6
Shoulder 4-5
Bis 5
 
8-10 sets for large muscle groups, 5-7 for small. 10-15 quads (squats, leg press, hacks, lunges), 3 hams (leg curls), 3 quad isolation (leg ext.), 6-8 for calves.
 
Off - 6-8 for small muscle groups, 8-10 for larger ones
On - 8-10 for smaller, 10-14 for larger ones

Mostly it's by feel though, my body has ways of letting me know if it's too much or not enough
 
I assume you want hypertrophy info.

I do 9 working sets for legs and 6 for everything else on high intensity days. 7 sets for legs and 5 for everything else on low intensity outings.

One caveat. I work everything twice a week.

Depends what youre into

If you want to build muscles then you need to do lower reps and higher weights

Eg For muscle Building
Each body exercise, start off with a level 5 weight (your own level 5) and do 12reps, then increase the level to 6 and to 10 repetitions, then increase to level 7 with 8 Repetitons, then increase to level 8 with 6 repetions. Remember to rest 1 minute in between sets. When youve finished the level 8, go straight onto level 10 and increase your reps to 12 again with no rest in between this set and the previous

If you want to loose weight, simply decrease the ammmount of weights youre lifting and do more reps like about 20/15

For building muscles, you need to burn it out in 4-5 reps with the highest weight possible for you to get through all 4 sets. But for cutting, you should do more reps and less weight, like 6-7 reps with lighter weight.:D
 
Lifting between 50 and 80% of 1rep max has consistantly been proven to the most effective style of training to induce the necessary hormonal responses for hypertrophy.

Finding your "level 5" weight sounds a little vague. Out of how many levels?
