how many reps for bulking?

how many reps should i do if im bulking. for all the main exercises like bench, squat, etc i do 3 sets of 5 and then 2 sets of 8. for others like triceps i do 3 sets of 8. is this good? thanks
 
It all depends on your diet. You bulk up at the kitchen table and in the bed. Look at most of the 220 and up powerlifters. Theses guys are jacked, and I bet most of them don't go over 5 reps per set on the money exercise. Just eat big, lift heavy, and get stronger. The size will follow.
 
thanks, yea i have already changed my diet. i'm trying to get 6 meals per day. but on the core exercises should i do (3x5 then 2x8), or should i just do (3x5) or (5x5)?
 
i would do 3x5 or 5x5. I prefer 5x5. I did this for about 6 months and got good size gains and amazing strength gains when i first started lifting.
 
thanks, ok so for the core exercises ill do 5x5. but for minor exercises like triceps should i do 3x8 or 5x5 or 3x5?
