i used to but have not for years,i used to write down the weight i was using and tried to get at least 1 more rep each week.when i compleated 3 sets of 10 for 2 consecutive weeks i would add 5 pounds.i am thinking of doing this again, does anyone think that keeping a log helps gains?

Sure do .... cant do a workout without one now. Best way to see your poundages go up from day to day.

i should really try it, i've actually made some pretty cool looking spreadsheets but never used them for myself, go figure.

this is random, but i have the temptation to take all the MD mags and rip out all the ad pages keeping the good stuff.

from what i can remember i made good progress with a log,i found an old workout log from like 93 and was going through it,i was working out with 135 on bench presses, lol. that was right out of high school,i was weak as hell at 6ft 1, 200 + pounds.now i am 6ft 1 225 and work with 305 on bench.

I may have been weak, but i was also fat!

I do... it's handy... I do it on the PC as well... log it all in a spread sheet...
