How many genuinely nice people do you know?

Not many here. Especially when you go out. All of the guys are out to get laid (including me). And all of the girls are out to get a free drink (most anyways). I've even seen chicks that don't drink much, get off by getting a free drink from a guy. I know there are some exceptions to both, but this seems to be the truth for the majority. I sit there and watch guys dish out all kinds of money on girls trying to be cool. They buy them drinks, their friends drinks, and everyone else drinks. Then when I see the chick he just bought all of those drinks for, stop being nice, and walk away to enjoy her free drink with her REAL boyfriend, it makes me laugh. I used to be a real cocky, arrogant, asshole, but that was in my immature days. Now, I feel much better being a nice person, and giving compliments to people. I hope some of the guys, that go all out for these chicks, will some day stop and realize what's going on. If the girl wants to sleep with you, she will do so even if you don't spend all of your cash. All you have to do is act like a real person.

I try to be nice . . . it can be HARD . . . but I think this: just because other people are horrid to me doesn't mean I have to join them at their level. It's not worth my time just to become as miserable as they are. And then you get to laugh cos they get really frustrated when you continue to be nice and you can watch them climbing walls trying to get you mad.

Ummm . . . "would you like a drink?" to a girl still means "would you like a drink?", NOT "Do you have a boyfriend, is he here and would you sleep with me?". Just thought I'd point that out to save you guys some money.

I try to be a nice person. If I am at someone's house, maybe a family member or something, and I don't particularly like them, I just keep my mouth shut and smile alot.

Usually when talking to people, like friends, they know me for being a real nice guy and funny as hell, with somewhat of an obnocious sense of humor. (Watching too much Conan O'brein, SNL)

not saying americans are aholes but in canada, ppl are alot more friendly. I know many nice ppl, most of my friends also.
