how low is your box?

my girlfriends box is just below her waist....lol

boxes depend on the person, i like to box squat about 2 inches below 90 degrees.

for box squats? The box they have at my gym is slightly less than 14 inches and seems kind of low for me. How tall is your box?

One other question, are you supposed to be able to box squat the same amount of weight that you normally squat?

The box height for me currently is 16.5inches.

This is about an inch above parallel but seems to focus on quads a bit more. Which I felt was a weak area.

I don't know the carry over from box to regular squat.but the box squat is lower.

how tall is each of you?? i'm a bit under 5'8" and we do speed squat on a 11 1/2" box which is quite a bit below .....we go very wide too..

So it seems that at least a couple of people (maybe more) have the box set up at 1" beow parallel. Is this a good point to start at and see how it feels, or does it depend on your weak point(s)?

I think it's a good starting point. Train at the depth you're going to compete. And if you don't compete, I'll bet you might consider one day so you may as well start training like you're going to. :)

im training on a box about 2-3 inch below parallel.

i squat on a milk crate and im 5'10-5'11.
