How Long Will it Take for HIV to Become Airborne?

***

doomsday scenario #1: it's a matter of time before HIV mutates into an airborne virus. a small percentage of the population has a natural immunity towards it, but most of us are gonna be fucked.

I DONT THINK IT CAN BECOME AIRBORNE, CAN IT? I'VE NVR HEARD OF A VIRUS THAT EVOLVED INTO BEING AN AIRBORN VIRUS. POST UP A LINK IF YOU GOT ONE....I WANT TO READ UP ON IT.

if a virus has a high capability of mutating then it can develope DNA (RNA cuz it's a virus) that forms a protein/carb coating that makes it more stable in air.

this is what SARS did. the corona virus mutated into an airborne sub species. SARS won't be the last virus to accomplish this feat. HIV mutates more than corona virus.

it has been shown that HIV can survive for at least a few seconds in the air.

an organism's natural behavior is to adapt to a hostile environment.

i understand bacteria are not viruses, but bacteria are mutating to become resistant to antibiotics that normally kill them in a matter of seconds.

One other factor is that the ones that survive in the air still need a transport vector. the virii are too large to float around in the air by themselves.

aerosolized mucus droplets from a cough or a sneeze same as the transport vector for imfluenza and SARS

I am predicting that HIV will not go airborne...

Instead, it will go underground... and attack us at our feet.
