How long until you are completely forgotten after death?

Seriously.... I am thinking 50 years TOPS. That is taking into account your children and grandkids.. If you dont have those then I suppose that the number is significantly decreased..

Yes, you may have fleeting memories of people who have been gone longer than that, but do you really remember them? What they were like, there voice, their laugh, their scent?

It is really pretty sad, you live a life and 99.99999 percent of the people in the world dont even care when you die.

Then after a few short years, the miniscule amount of people that did care if you died, have completely forgotten about you anyways...


Even people who have made SIGNIFICANT contributions to humanity are forgotten.... Sure, there accomplishments are sometimes spoken of.... But how often do you really think of someone who has been dead for hundreds of years...

We had to call a carpet cleaning servie to get all the blood out of the carpet so his parents wouldn't see it when they got there. He was an awesome dude- 6'4", 320, division I ball player. I'm sure some didn't show up because they "just couldn't deal with it", but the way I see it, you bite the fuckin' bullet and do what you have to do out of respect. i believe if you live your life according to the teachings of jesus christ, you will find your place in heaven and someday be rejoined with your loved ones. do you follow his teachings? if no, then why? and what is your opinion on an afterlife?
