How long to feel effects from aromatase inhibitor

MY Dr has added an aromatase inhibitor to what I am taking because after the first few weeks on TRT the benefits I was seeing began to disappear. My 45 day blood work showed my estradiol to be high.

So my question to anyone who has gone through a similar experience is about how long should I expect it to take for my estradiol to come back down and start seeing the benefits of TRT again.

My Doc said about 21/2 weeks, but I wanted to get some real world experience.

aromatase inhibitor dont do anything for the existing E in your system, they simply prevent the buildup of more. That being said E will work its way out of your system over time, how long depends on many factors including types of estrogens you subject yourself to from other sources. Short story long is no one can accurately predict how long it will take or if the current dose of anti-e you are on is sufficient, keep getting bloodwork drawn to monitor you various level and tweak as needed. Your probably going to want to wait a good 10-12 weeks to let things do their job and and for your various hormone levels to flatten out.

That's interesting. When I went on arimidex alone once as a dumb youth just trying to boost natural test, I started feeling like crap (like tired and sick, like a cold or flu or something but without the actual respiratory symptoms) almost immediately (like, within days). Since E is supposed to contribute to feelings of well-being I figured it essentially got rid of all the E in my system within a matter of days.

I didn't mess with it much after that.

There could be a few reasons for this. Some people are super sensitive to adex. Also its depends on the dose. for TRT most folks only use 1-3mg per week, how much did you take?

Also its very likely someone on TRT has a higher T level than you do and if they havent been on an anti-e at all E levels are likely elevated where if you just took adex alone you likely didnt have elevated to to deal with.

Additionally E comes from many places, adipose tissue, external sources introduce us to oestrogen and estrogen even goes thru the system and gets reabsorbed.

If the OP has recently started TRT and follow up labs show high E, his T levels could still be normalizing as his natty T shuts down and his body relies solely on exo T. When making changes to meds that affect hormone levels its always good practice to wait quite a few weeks and retest and tweak as needed. Many outside factors also affect us so lifestyle can even have an impact.

I honestly don't remember. I ordered some so-called liquidex, I think the way I did it is I was squirting like .25mg into my protein shake each morning. But don't quote me on that.

I also ordered some Clomid from the same place that did nothing to me at all so it may have been bunk. That's why I'm weary of "research chemicals."

My E2 was double normal on one blood work so I took arimidex 0.5 mg three times in a week. At the end of the week I got my bloodwork retested and my E2 was in the mid range of normal. So within one week my E2 went from super high to normal.
