How long is too long to wait for a domestic order?

I normally run to the border to pick up my own supplies but I had some family issues so I was not able to make the trip. I decided to order from a domestic source and it has been over 2 months. I am in contact with him and he returns all of my emails but I am getting a little frustrated w/the turnaround time. I have never ordered supplies before so I don't know what the average or better yet an acceptable turnaround time is. Any thoughts? Should I just shut up and wait patiently?

2 months is too long unless he told you it would take a while before you sent him funds. My domestic guy gets me mine in days unless he has to order it and even then it will only be a few weeks.

you are not alone I to have been waiting two months. As long as you are still in contact I think that is a good thing. Since 9/11 alot of people are waiting I would be patient and cross your fingers.

2 months domestic is TOO long to wait. If he is returning e-mails that is good, but not definitive proof.

The domestic scene is a mess right now........I placed a domestic order 3 months ago and still nothing. I have heard that a big supplier got busted and all the mid-sized operations are on hold and trying to find a new supplier to fill orders placed before big guy went down.

Hey if the source is good he would ok your order before you send money and then 2 month would be way to long.... I would say that is a bit odd, things are slower not that slow!

My guy gets stuff that he does not usually carry, special order stuff, to me in 5-7 weeks.....

Like I said the domestic scene is a mess right now...He probably placed his order with a mid-sized operation who places their order through the main guy who got busted.

His source may not scam him but is probably trying to find a new bulk supplier to fill the orders.

It seems through various posts I have read that suppliers are taking orders for gear they don't have yet. Just as it's always recommended on the board not to start until you have everything, if you're a source DON'T TAKE ORDERS FOR SHIT YOU DON'T HAVE YET!

Bro, I am sorry to hear you have money tied up...It is unfortunate but join the club. Why would you change suppliers if you already had a good source that you have done business with in the past?
