How does this new gym sound?

Well I have been training muay thai and ju jitsu for awhile, although its been a bit since i have been too serious with it. I found a gym up at school which teaches MMA and gives me full use of the facilities when not in class.

The MMA program is run under Erik Paulson's system of combat submission wrestling. I haven't actually am not super familiar with Erik Paulson or CSW.

How good do you think this system is?

I think Brock Lesnar trained at a Paulson CSW gym in Minnesota for his fight with Mir. Ken Shamrock trains with Paulson. You can see Erik Paulson corner a lot of guys in the UFC. He's the 40- something year old guy with long blond hair and a ponytail. Don't quote me, but I think CSW is very Japanese based. They will likely emphasize takedowns and leg locks more so than BJJ. I think CSW uses a lot of Muay Thai type clinching also.

Who are the primary instructors? The instructor lineage and experience is more important than the franchise to which the instructor belongs.

Well they have 2 trainers certified under him and both seem knowledgable. There are about 6 fighters who actually compete out of the gym locally in thai fights and now MMA since its recently been legalized in PA. Paulson comes twice a year for seminars.

Apparently the gym was run by a guy named Bill Gebhardt who focused on JKD and some other stuff but he passed away.

Its a gym in a colllege town so I feel like im pretty lucky to have it. I really would like to learn at an accelerated rate. I have been goign to the 1.5 hours classes twice a week, as well as doing more trianing for an extra hour after class and going 3x more a week for 2.5 hours or so and doing some bag/thai pad/ground trianing with some circuit training. Any great resources online? Especially for help in my ground work and maybe some great combinations to practice?

Most of my instructional bookmarks are bjj based. A lot of guys post instructionals on Youtube if you want some video supplementary material.
