By that I mean juggle a career and home life and still manage to have time to get to a gym? I am about to completely abort the fitness lifestyle.

its tough man i have to go up by the northwest territories for work in december i wont be liftin for a month

its tough at times, but you can manage it, you just have to plan accordingly and MAKE time.

There are 24 hours in a day, the gym requires 1.5 or less per day. Now whats the problem?

Hit it hard bro.

if you can construct a pull-up bar at work you can get some massive lats during that period!

Hah! I do not have that kind of drive, determination, nor dedication any more. 1.5 hours a day is exactly the problem. Pretty soon that will be the alotted time for a personal life/girlfriend/quality time with my dog.

if you quit working out, you will have no girlfriend and just the dog...lol. I'd rather have a good bench day than get laid. Guess thats just me.

HAHAHAHAHAH you will turn soft jelly like and be a girlie man
they're all going to laugh at you
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAH

I used my gym time after work as my de-stressor from work. That way when I got home I didn't take out my bad mood from work on my husband or pets - I had already taken it out via cardio/weights.

we all have other things to do. Simply put, you have to MAKE time and stop making excuses.

Wake up earlier or go to bed later

Where there is a will, there is a way

so youre telling me that youre perfectly willing to work for most of your waking hours to acquire/pay for accommodation, cars, clothes, and a bunch of useless junk that you blow your money on, but youre not willing to invest an hour a day, 3-4 times a week into maintaining the most important asset you have - your body?

are you insane? do you really want to end up like those squishy office types that are lethargic all day and end up sleeping longer each night because their bodies are shitty bags of skin, with muscles like rotten string and the sex appeal of aap on a good day? fucken might as well put a gun in your mouth and blow your head off here and now

its about priorities, balance, and looking at the big picture.

plus, youre on (or were on) roids, for fucks sake - how lazy can you get? you can keep a great bod with 3 workouts a week and a decent diet, and youre complaining about it? yeesh. leave the site and go get some pec implants or something, im disgusted

everyone is born with the same amount of hours, how you use it is what counts, 45 minutes a day 2-4 times a week isn't asking much and will make you feel younger, increase your lifespan, and have more energy what more could you want!

OH! The Chicks are an added plus!God bless them!

These are all solid post'. Agree w/ everyone. I'ts a lifestyle that you just do. Make it routine. No one's born lazy. That is something you aquire. Shit, sometimes I think I want a break from the weights. But if I go fors 2 days w/o, I miss it and have to go back. It's therapeutic for me.

The gym.. it does a body good.. now quit complaining and get ur ass in the gym

I have an hour for lunch, enough time for a single body part and a quick shower. Then if I leave work at 5 I sit in traffic and don't get home till 6:15. If I hit the gym (jogging session and abs) at 5:00 I leave the gym at 5:45 or 6:00 I avoid traffic and still get home at 6:15.

The key is find a gym close to where you work!

Is this thread for real..? My wife and I both have full time jobs, 6 kids (4 at home full time) and we both manage to get in the gym a minimum of 5 days a week for ~1.5 hours.

If you cant manage your time well enough to take care of your body.. then it isnt that you dont have enough time.. its that fitness just isnt a big priority in your life.

dude
you have 6 kids?

I tip my hat

Ya.. 4 still at home though.. her oldest moved out. My oldest decided he wanted to live with his mom. LOL

The 4 at home are 2 eight year old boys who think they are ninjas with laser eyes a 15 year old girl who thinks she is the center of the universe, and a 16 year old boy with the attention span of a box of krispe Kreams.

BTW its a mixed family.. 2 are mine and 4 are hers.

Yall are all right...it just is not that important to me at the moment. This winter I will for the first time in over 7 years just sit back and let the gut grow. If I feel compelled I will do something about it in the spring and hope it's not too late to bounce back from how ever much negative weight I put on. Now where is my bag of Snickers?
