how do you get carbs so low?

it is simple to stay under 30g a day, just read dr atkins books

true, it is simple, if u don't mind increasing ur fat intake, and if you
're going to do that than u better get into ketosis. i tried the anabolic diet for about 3 1/2 months and it didn't do much for me. i liked being on it.. i was able to maintain my weight, but didn't get the results i hoped for. i may try it again sometime and see if i can tweak it, but for now i want to lift heavier and i need the energy carbs can give me :)

I just started rotating my carbs too....I never go low as 20-30 grams - on my low days I stay around 50-60 and on high days I get as much as 175....if I go any lower my workouts suffer bigtime and I feel like shit!!!! to me, its not worth it - try dropping the carbs in the pm instead of only taking in 20 grams

Sorry, I should have made that a little more clear. I don't want to do the Atkins diet because it's too much fat in my opinion. I just thought that low carb days was supposed to be under 50g and high carb days was to not go over 150g. I was trying to find out how you would keep your carbs under 50g without eating a ton of fatty foods.

hey i used to have peanut butter and fats but kept carbs comin from veggies on my 3 low days and then i would have 1 high day of carbs like 150 grams and fat low....i did HIIT 20 min sprints and weights 3 times a week ...but i seemed to reach a plateu and now im doing walking for 60 min and uping my first 3 meals as carbs and lowering fats only having flax to the last 3 meals..is it ok not to rotate carbs or should i still do that to loss fat?
thanks i think i lost some fat while keeping muscle//but alot of people have something to say bout penut butter and carbs....and veggies and carbs //but i dont think those are carb sources as aposed to rice and potatoes...i was wondering if i cut them out will something happen cause i really dont add up those carb sources...should i> thanks

I've tried this Ketogenic diet in the past and found that my body personally responds better to the zone type of eating (1/3 fat, 1/3 protein, 1/3 carbs). I wouldn't go any lower than 100 grams of carbs. I would suggest that if you want to keep your carbs that low you should supplement with Flaxseed oil to get some good fats (3 tablespoons). When your carbs are so low your body needs to get it's energy somwhere and thats were the fat comes into play.

lol...hanks spatss ..i kno sat fat is bad but i am now keeping carbs low like under 100 for 6 days straight and not carb rotating ecause dimond says not to ..i dunno..? i just eat flax as my fat wit some pb sometimes ..i thought fat gets sotres as adipose tissue in fat cells.? is it ok to have flax b4 bed ?

spats you have good cuts and i wish my genetics were as good as that lol...but since your cutting what do u have post workout? after weights ..wouldnt simple sugar and whey be ok or would that be considered a carb up

dont really have much to add that hasnt been said already but just wanted to saaaayyyyy hang in there and stay focused! i know it can get a lil frustrating at times. i find that the less i obsess over things the better i do. just eat clean... train hard and BE CONSISTANT*** :)
