How do YOU deal with stress?

I am looking for new ways to deal with stress I am always pissed off and then get depressed cause theres nothing I can do about the things I stress about, anyone got any advice on how to deal with stress? Thanks.
 
The things I do now to try and help are
Lift
Read these forums
Listen to Music
Alcohol- this seems to be the only one that always works but is a terrible habit ecspecially at my age and doesn't help with lifting either by inhibiting my gains. I am serious about lifting but theres no way I am going to stop drinking.

drinking and lifting will NEVER work...

I know this will soumd horrible but women comfort me ( not in a porno way, or in a listen to my feelings emo way)

I just like observing them and helping them ( gosh I hope that does not sound creepy lol)

I have been working out every other day for 6 years. I only drink on my off days not that it makes it any better. Nah it doesn't sound creepy lol but the girls I get with always end up being a pain in the ass causing a bunch of drama and bullcrap causing more stress. I dumped mine it was for the best, all mine have been that way so have my buddies girls. Its the area, live in OC in California, I didn't grow up here but i'll say that most of the girls grew up around here and were brought up way different than where I am from. But anyways I know drinkin has inhibited some gains for sure but not too much cause I get compliments at work and school quite often, a few people have asked if I have taken roids. (which is no not for another year at least and not while drinking).

What I really think is funny, is when I see someone who is really stressed and pissed off. I like to start fucking with them and make them even angrier and more stressed and even depressed. That shit is hilarious!!

what works best?

Usually if it's a situation that can be directly impacted by you, go ahead and address it. Stress a lot of the time is completely self inflicted based on our actions, or at least, can be self addressed by our actions.. There are ways to fix and address it, and actively working to alleviate the stress will always be the best option.

However, in the cases where you're truly powerless and have no control of the situation.....
exercise is always a great stress reliever. so is being around friends and positive people. Sex is also a great stress reliever, if it's available and you're not engaging in crazy behavior to find it.

Vacations are the ultimate stress reliever, as it's almost impossible to bring your problems with you. Even if it's a road trip or a weekend trip, it's a great way to get out of your bubble and frame of mind. I always come back with a new perspective and view of life when i come back from a trip.
 
what cw said plus I find watching movies works. Its an escape and you forget about what you were worrying about for a couple hours.
 
Depends on the kind of stress...

If it's worry, like something not going right in business, I find something to do to change mindset... Work on one of my vehicles, or maybe go find an old TV set in the trash, bring it home and repair it, or maybe I have my wife solve the stress problem for me ;)

If it's anger, I work out, or go riding (dirt bike or even BMX bike).

96% of the things you worry about will never happen. The other 4% are unavoidable, and 2% end up turning out to be positives over time.

So, you are worried and stressed and angry over a 2% chance of something horrible happening. Even if they do happen, you probably won't die from them.

i identify the perpetrator...then i chop them up and feed them to my cat.
 
Boxing, yoga, tanning and weights depending on the level of stress lol :)
 
This is an interesting thread... mostly because I dont deal with stress... at all... what I mean by this is that I dont really GET stressed to begin with, I've had hard times in which I had tons of debt and even my utilities cut off but it never really pushed me over the edge or stole my sleep.... :whatever: I'm kinda weird like that.... when I do get a bit wound up I like to eat something sweet, even if it's fruit or gum... picks me right up, or I go online and try to find funny things, videos, fail pics, etc. If I didnt have internet access that would probably change things for me and I'd carry more stress, interwebs relax me....

By the way I read and bought today (for my husband) a drink called "Lean"(slow motion potion) and another called "Mary Jane's" it's relaxing drink (contrary concept of all them energy drinks) it's for you to like slow down.... I'll post up how it worked for my hubby...
