how do u remind someone if they invited u out but they forgot?

kinda an odd question. but say u got invited out by a chick u like to a family function of hers....she invited u 2 weeks ago, hasnt mentioned it and its like 4 days away....how do u casually mention it. i dropped a feww hints (i.e. how are preparations going for this function) but nada

i was asked, out of the blue and semi-pleaded with to come. im useless at these things (completely untactful) so any ideas

well yeah.... but i dont wanna sound like a moron (as i do that enough already), so what, call her up and say ' is the invite still on'

thing is she was supposed to email me details of the venue etc but i know shes been busy so she might not have been able to

whioops didnt see your previous post. yup. but i had kinda asked her to a film before and she was kinda 50:50, this might turn her off inviting me.....i guess i could just say....does the invite to your family 'do' still stand? hope she wont go 'no, feck off

Just call her and ask her if you guys are still on for whatever function she asked you to attend.

If she is a friend, you should be able to call her up and ask what is up with that show. If she invited someone else, or plans fell through, you want to know right? I think a direct approach is the best. That is what I would do, but i am a direct MF, i will just straight up ask someone.
