Ya know, its been said that millions of high-school age kids had reported using steroids in surveys. Triple that percentage by the time those kids finish college and start into their thirties. Basically, millions and millions have used before. Does the medical establishment see a flux of people suffering these "side effects" of steriods .....no! Serious medical problems are very rare! I don't see the huge number of case reports I would expect if steroids were so horrible.
To say they are without risk is ignorant. There is risk with any drug. In my opinion the risks are greater because you cannot tell your doc and be monitored and you have to buy black market gear.
I'm going to specialize in endocrinology and, depending on the legal aspects, I intend on helping out those who intend to improve their physique with help from anabolics/androgens and also to help combat the negative stereotypes held by the medical community. I mean, what is the difference between a man taking 8 wks of primo/deca and a women getting breast implants? Only public perception and acceptance!
You wouldn't believe how uneducated medical professionals are about anabolics. My endocrinology attending was just telling me the other day that anabolics DO NOT cause an increase in muscle size/strength. He attributes the "minor" gains from the increased aggresiveness and effort in training.
