How do people respond to your training, pos./neg./what?

other than my mom buying the food, i have zero support from my family, they mostly just give me grief. i b.s with my bro about training here and there, but that's about it. none of my friends (all 1 or 2 i really have) don't take it nearly as serious as i do. my gym is 99% wannabes, so most days i kinda feel like i'm in it alone. i apologize if i'm coming off as bitching, i've just had a lousy week, rather depressed, but i'm not sure why. seems like all i really have sometimes is my training. anyone else feel like this sometimes?
That sucks man, just try to stay positive and know you're doing more for yourself and your health than 99% of the rest of the wannabes. Maybe try to find a lifting partner too, if possible.

Good luck.

i get the same thing everytime i see someone. "man you have gotten huge or, you still want to put on more weight"i'm thinking hell yeah i'm a fucking twig when looking at picture i was a twig now i'm not, gained 40lbs 2 inches in arms 3 inches in calfs and fucking pushin up about 80 lbs more than i was in the summer. I feel great but at the same time i don't, why because i'm the same size as i was yesterday. you know what i mean we really can't see the results its up to just trust them.

I've only seen one other person besides me use the rack (and that was for BB rows).

my gym changed the deadlift area from black mats to a black mat with a non-slip hardwood center and they got new rubbercoated weights for it as well. i only started deadlifting recently, but i never see anyone using it.

the power rack...it's nice when no one else uses it. all last semester i only had to wait twice for it. no one uses the power rack for anything other than legs though. guess they don't know what it's for so they stay away.

i get positive remarks, usually from the ladies but i get negative remarks as well, usually from dudes, saying lifting weights is not really a "sport". i always invite those kind of guys to come and workout with me. they always decline, funny how that works.

All the time. And when my training goes to shit, so does my life!! haha Aint that fuckin sad??? :bawling:

When ppl (specially newbies) stare at the gym is fine for a couple minutes. but then you got those ones that stare at you indefinitely, which is very fucked! you know, all those fuckin mirrors make it worse and unless those suckers leave, you won't have a comfortable workout. of course if women are staring at you it's a different story!

but anyway, to keep w/the subject, I enjoy people telling me the improvements I've made. And it's people you usually least expect it from because those are the ppl you talk less too, or don't see each other as often. that sorta feedback I get is what keeps me going I guess.

Im building a gym....no mirrors....no carpet.....no newbies...lol...just blood, steal, sweat and tearssssssssssss
