...............know you're smiling at them when they're between the ages of 3 months to 6 months?? ? <<because they're still so young......

I just came back from the bank, and there was the cutest baby chillin' in his carrier on a stroller. I looked over at him and he was lookin at me, so I started smiling..............then he busted out in a smile. I think his mom said he was 4 months or somethin'..........but every time I smiled, he smiled, he forced me to bust out laughin cause he was too damn cute! I love babies, I wanna have lots of the little critters!

its all visual stimulation, they know what eye candy is too...they wouldn't know what the hell to do with it but they know what they like.

How nice...........thank you, that was a very nice comment BEAST!

:D

I thought you knew.. babies laugh at people.

Did you make any weird noises or goo goo talk?? They laugh at us for doing that stuff...

Yes, Instinct tells them that the smiling face and high pitched noises like baby talk are good things.
Loud noises are bad things.

Amazing how they know nothing about fear or love yet these 2 things come naturally..

I wasn't making any noises..........I was just looking at him. Thats why I made this thread............how do babies know you're smiling at them for them to smile back?? Crazy crazy!

babies are very aware of there surroundings at a very young age, there vision and hearing as well as sense of touch are amazingly sensitive. They also respond to things like classical music really well. Plus even if they were 3months - 6mnths they know what a beautiful person you are Azia, inside and out :)

plus i read a theory that when you are a baby you are able to feel emotions generated by people...like being able to see and feel a person aura....but thats all metaphysic mumbo jumbo

Suck-up!!! :spin: j/k

I would believe that "aura" junk....................you never know! I'm sure if I was just standing there staring at the baby w/out smiling he wouldn't have smiled.................or would he?

Was this a baby girl, or Boy?
Something tells me with you, either of them would be smiling.

I know I'd be smiling...

It was a boy..........................quit suckin' up sweetie..............;)

I like babies. :)

Once they get to be around a year old tho....then they become little kids, and I avoid them like the plague. :D

OOOOOO, meeee toooooo....................! I absolutely adore babies! I want to have a whole circus of 'em, ............but as soon as they hit 3, I'm selling 'em!

Babies don't bother me. I  the spit-up, I  the wailing, I  changing the diapers, I  feeding them.........I helped with my 8 year old bro, so I know what its like to somewhat raise a child. But MAN, once he started talking and walking, I was runnin the other way!!!!

He was mimicing your facial expression. If you had frowned he probably would have frowned and then gone crying. I love that my 11 month olds are about to hit 1 and are becomeing "kids". It's hillarious.

Are you the one with the twins??? Was it boys?

Well I do have twins.. I don't know if I'm "The One" though. LOL!!!

Boy and Girl. They're hillarious! My son discovered clapping the other day and instead of him mimicing me or my wife, I mimiced his action. He busted out laughing and did his war hoop and splashed all about the tub (bath time). His sister just laughed at him.

Pauly and I would like twins................I'D like a boy and girl, HE'd like boys..........................
Won't happen for a few good LONG years, but it would be nice. ;)

How have you adapted? Are these your first? Do you notice many similarities? Are they identical (I know its hard cause they're only 1)?

We've adopted them.

They are paternal twins meaning two zygots instead of one (maternal).

They are each unique individuals without a doubt. What is cool is that they each have a fulltime play partner! :)

They play chase a and bumber strollers a great deal right now.

The Chaser and the chasee change up constantly.

Oh, that sounds so wonderful! I hope that God blesses me with twins in the future..............................

This was my wifes mantra forever and a day.

Then after we had them @ 5 months for about 8 weeks, she said....WHAT THE HELL WAS I THINKING!!!

LOL!!!

That has since passed of course with the children developing more independent skills it's great. You'll find parents with one baby saying that they were sad when they're son or daughter first started holding they're own bottle.

We were dancing for joy over this small feat! Try feeding TWO crying-hungry babies at once. It's tough.
