how come no one likes R. coleman??

Because he turns the whole competition into into a freak show contest. This sport has enough negative stereotypes surrounding it already and by picking the biggest person out there makes it seem like everyone involved in bodybuilding is out to look like freaks. Trying to get huge is ok, but Coleman is just way beyond that.
It's one thing to want size, but by picking the largest person all the time downplays the need for proportion and the amount of time the really defined people put into their workouts.
I think there is a conspiracy that these competitions are fixed by the supplement company. Since many people take these creatine, proteins, myostatin products to add size as a priority over definition, they want someone to win who is massful and could claim their product will make you look like that.

Another reason I think people dont like him is because we know of all the other guys in the sport who work just as hard as him. Why shouldnt they have a shot at it. Whats the point of having the same guy win everyear. It makes it boring.

its not that i dont like coleman, but he wins every damn year. it's fixed all the time, which is the main thing i dont like in the bodybuilding world.

i like priest better. i thought he would've gotten at least top 5.
 
I don't think he was all that freaky this year, in fact I thought Marus and Gunter were much freakier. Pro bodybuilding sucks!!!! unless you got Demilla and Weiders coks in your mouth at the SAME time, you aint gonna win, period. Guntwer was too good for that....Flex wasn't, thats why he got in the top 10.

This really isn't a far fetched idea. I heard Dillet was seen very pissed off one night at an Arnold because he sucked a cock and got a fake GH hit,

Pro bodybuilding needs to get off Weiders nutsack, He is ruining everything with his damn "I am the bodybuilding GURU."

But look at the history. Of course there is some degree of the contest being fixed. Think about it who was the last Mr. Olympia to be beaten? Samir Banout? And that was back in 82. If there is anything you should dislike it's the Mr. Olympia contest itself.
 
Waaaayyy too much emphesis on freaky mass.

In today's world, guys like Frank Zane would not even get into the building.

I think Priests propotions were the best from the photo's I saw.

I can't wait to see what it will take to win 10 years from now.

Can it get any worse ?

I like Ronnie but after this years olympia I'm starting ta really like Gunter. Lee's symmerty is awesome but it's just hard ta see him in the same light as the others especially when they're standing side by side. (I guess because he so short.)

Everybody looked great this year but Craig acted like a lil' baby:rolleyes:
 
Haha! I heard Craig got robbed so I was waiting for someone to say if he smashed another trophy or freaked out again. He seems to be quite an emotional guy. LOL
 
It's going to discourage people from becomming bodybuilders. Many people dont want to look like a huge freak. If you picked people that had gains more attainable to the average joe a lot more people would follow it. People see those guys up on stage and probably think their obsessive compulsive freaks. If you want a stronger audiance you gotta appeal to a larger crowd.

I hate joe weider.
 
so what you guys are all saying is, he's to good at his job? and should just quite because he's making the game not fun for anyone else? that's like saying a football player should quite because no one can catch him and he always scores...it's BS R coleman is the biggest and the best, and that's what counts in this game right? i think everyone else should quite and just let ronnie up on stage by himself once a year, that be cool LOL
 
I just don't think he looks all that great. (i.e. gunter carries his 299lbs much better (more ripped) than ronnie.

I also don't want to watch normal looking bodybuilders... MuscleMania etc...

It's like sprinting. I can't run a 9.78 100m, but I sure as hell want to see genetic freaks run that fast and someday faster.

The only thing is that I'd like to see the mass, symmetry and rippedness in one package and in my opinion gunter was the closest to that last night.

If Ronnie could lose that gut and rip up while keeping the size I'd be a fan.

Ronnie has worked his ass of for every title he's gotten (his training video is a good example of that) Although, I do agree, they are turning into these huge freaks but'cha know, that's what they gotta do ta win and they should all know that by now. If they can't hang w/ the big dog than it's time ta bow out.

THE "FREAKS" feed money to the industry...when fans go to a compitition , they dont come to see flex wheeler or sean ray
they donk care about lines and symetry....this is a buisness and if any of us plan to make a living. they need to get with the program
the drug abuse happens because of geneticly weak men that cant grow....abuse there tools to compinsate.......when you get ride of the freaks..... the sport will stop making money....... i happen to be a pretty well rounded bodybuilder with both size and symetry.........but without my natural gifts of size i woulndt even persue this career. this is what bodybuilding is.....you can only get sooo lean and dry..then what?????

im tierd of athletes and fans that bad mouth marvels like ronnie coleman & yates, and ruhl ...thies men deserve there fame

i agree i wish weider were dead.......but as far as discouraging
athletes.....if a bodybuilder can be so easily discouraged...they would have never made it in this industry or any for that matter......it as simple as this....either got the genetics to compete or ya dont.....and for thoughs that dont choose another sport......this sport is not for the weak hearted or geneticly flawed

And I am tired of being exposed to the rantings of borderline illiterates who can't spell words like: tired, these, their, amateur, don't, symmetry, business, genetically, compensate, wouldn't, and pursue.
 
For now the freaks bring in the money. But its the sales from the products that makes the money they give to these freaks. There's nothing wrong with a little roid usage, but theres a large amount of people out there that think their disgusting and some people actually believe if they take those supplements these companies peddle, they might look like that. And if thats what they consider disgusting, they may not buy these supplements for fear of turning ugly.

Frank Sepe is a good size, maybe a little larger. The average person can get that size with moderate drug usage and a lot of work. Whoever wins the olympia is a tool for marketing, their goal is to appeal to alot of people. One day the industry will collapse and they will have to start working for the masses again.
 
Because of the fact that he is a terrible representative for the sport! Yeah he's proportional. In the fact that everything is huge on him, including his gut! He is an embarassment to all bodybuilders with even a little intelligence.
 
oh i agree with you guys and gals 100%, bodybuilding is a joke now days, it's a game to see who can do the most riods and eat the most, ronnie might not have looked the best, but from what i hear(i didnt get to watch mr O) he was the biggest...i don't respect ronnie that much, just for the fact that he's a cop, and he's using an illegal drug, and i'm sure everyone on the force knows this. pretty screwed up if you ask me.

Big Bad Buff- I totally agree with you on the cop thing. However, every cop I know does or did roids, along with a few other things.
Its a hypocritical profession, but its the norm..they are regular people like us. We speed, drive drunk, do steroids, hook up with the 17 year olds at our bar.....ummm, forget that last part
