How Come Most People Are In A Rush To Get Ripped???

Scsufootball84 lol

Ripped for chicks, plus I'm the other way around, I don't feel good at higher BF% at all. I feel more lethargic.

Since I've always had the wireframe build, I'm only at 170 at 6"3" I feel big, even though in reality I'm No where near big.

Though as I get older I feel I'll want to get more massive just so I can eat more at maintenaince Yum yum.

The best quote i ever heard was from a body builder friend I had who helped me get into body building, He said "Back in the Day, Man used to be muscular, big brutes, but soon technology came around. Then man stopped working out his body and started using his mind, he started to get smaller and work on his body less. You've got to get big man, You could have all the money in the world, but if there's a guy bigger than you, He'll fuck your girl. Donald Trump has alot of money, but if his girl meets a bigger good looking guy, he'll definitely fuck her."

its summer, ripped is in.when swetter time rolls around its time to pack on 20- 30lb.im around 225 at 6ft and 8%.i hate dieting but i love the attention from the ladies.sure 300lb would have its advantages but thats to freaky for me.250 and ripped is my goal after that its just gona be to maintain.

What freakazoid just said...very subtly and perhaps unknowingly is the biggest difference and the reason some are always trying to cut up. "It's summer, ripped is in". For most summer is thier competition...There is no stage or other legit competitors. The beach is the stage and the other beer chugging ass grabbers are the competition. For the other school of thought, the hardcore bodybuilder, this is not the case. We cut when we have to...for a show. Not for the beach. Two different trains of thought. The competitive bodybuilder diets out of necessity...the "recreational lifter" diets to impress a different set of judges. These judges don't take mass into consideration like on sitting in front of the stage. Most feel they have to be cut at all times to impress so they simply never take the time to build significant mass. In thier minds summer is always right around the corner or it's here. And one must be shredded come summer.

i respect the "hardcore bodybuilder" but i really dont have a desire to become massive,i pack on weight fairly easy 4 years ago i was around 180.i have managed to pack on about 10 quality lb per yr.even when i come off juice i rarely ever go under 210.i work my ass off in the gym sure with more juice and more cals i could be a hell of a lot bigger but for the most part i feel like shit at a higher bodyfat.

I'm with ya Beezers! Great post!

Hell, I'm married anyway.... and my wife likes be BIG.... says that I look sick when I'm cut down

I gotta agree get big or get out.....yeah I'll cut up when I'm preparing for a comp...but I don't plan on my first comp getting here for another 2 years....so I'm bulking like madd for the next 2 years so by the time I do cut..I'll be able to cut to about 240ish...which would be oh sooo nice :) But yeah I do it for myself though.....I like being huge...your stronger than anyway...and I like the strength.....and I know how big I am...that's what counts, well I like being big...just my input.......

i love being large

why is it people give u shit when you aren't cut? im talking about people who don't
know crap about lifting or your lifestyle. they think if you aren't cut year round you
are lazy or something. i love being big, i love the strength. when the times comes and i
can get cut and still be huge, i will get cut. until then im gonna add mass.

I don't really have much respect for guys in the gym who are just "Big"....almost anyone can eat excess calories/retain water and look big.....being lean while still muscular shows way more discipline and hardwork in my opinion

I bulk eight months out of the year. One month before summer, I start to train to get ripped and drop the fat. If I'am heavy in the summer, and holding lots of water and fat, I sweat way too much, so I try to lose all of it for the summer. Plus I feel better being cut when my shirt is off. Just what I like, but I can see how people like staying lifting heavy.
