went swimming with a .22 bac and hit my head on rocks split it open lost tons of blood. died 3 times in the ambulance they had to revive me, i thought i was just trying to sleep. got put on a ventilator in the hospital was in intensive care due to the lose of the ability to breath on my own for 2 weeks. yes i would say i cheated death.

And one situation where (for some VERY weird reason) I decided to take the high road and NOT talk shit to a few random punks that said something to me on a bar, and the punks shot the next kid to say something to them in the head at point blank range

Well, i've been there few times...........

Mid-nineties i was living in the Bronx (still do but way better area)..........in one of the toughest neighborhoods, was about to get jacked but i didnt want to give up my valet and the bracelet my dad left me when he died.............so i fought back only to get stabbed 3 times but hey, they would've stabbed me anyway. Good thing they didnt have the gun...........

Other time was 4 years ago drag-racing in the streets.........Major Deegan Expressway right after the exit 4.........1 mile straightaway......speed was up to 145mph..........my boy lost control, clipped my rear bumper i took airborne and went over the wall that was supposed to keep me on the highway........ended up on the service road with a split car that also caught on fire.............ended up with a concussion, broken leg (left), dislocated shoulder (right), and a few missing teeth as well as a big gash on top of my head..........

and recently had a fistfight with some husky russians on brighton beach in Brooklyn......they aint playing around and pulled a gun on me, but i think it was just a show of force.....the guy didnt have the balls to pull the trigger as we were in a restaurant.......

Got a hooked up Mustang with a shitload of power to the rear wheels but still dont race at that stretch of the road.........guess bad memories
 
Almost drowned while cliff diving in the Potomac River just north of Great Falls. It was a pretty f-ed up feeling reaching for the water's surface....still sinking no matter how hard I tried to swim.

I also swam into an undertow to rescue my ex-wife from drowning. :verygood:

My appendix ruptured in the morning when I was in first grade. My teacher thought I was feigning illness and did not let me go home and didn't call my mom. At the end of the day, I couldn't walk to get on the bus. Ambulance had to come to the school. I had to spend over a month in the hospital, because I had become septic and nearly died. Unlike the tiny little scars that you get with most appendectomies, my scar is about 9". UGH

I almost was attacked by an alligator while swimming in a river. Dad pulled me up on the pontoon just as the alligator's tail went swishing away under the boat. It had been making a bee line toward me, according to my father.
 
Went surfing during a storm....couldnt get out passed the break....walked to the end of the pier, jumped in with my board....25 foot drop, no problem......going under at that speed and breaking your board in half with your head like an idiot....not cool....Some dude went in after me, and pulled me up by my leash...i wasnt knocked out for long, i just remember waking up feeling like a fish getting reeled in backwards. Didnt swallow any water, so it wasnt bad...just had a sore head and ego for a few days....lucky there were other idiots out in the storm.

Inhaled sulfur smoke from a roadflare and had an alergic reaction. my throat closed up almose completley in abot 30 seconds. could not breathe, friends were freaking out, we were in the middle of the Mojave desert, they said my face turned purple. just as I remember feeling like it was all but over, my throat began opened back up and I was able to start breathing again, but i still passed out from lack of oxygen.
 
I drown once. Went underwater in the middle of a lake and couldn't get back to the surface, I was just too tired. Eventually lost conciousness and everything, woke up to my best friend doing CPR on me on the shore. It's a strange feeling to KNOW that you are done, and there is nothing left to do. Very surreal.
 
had a punctured descending colon that leaked into my body- i came down with "Pernicious Anemia"....i PRAYED for DEATH....Dr.'s couldnt believe i was alive. he told me it was pure "will"...
i cannot describe the pain and sickness i had. the had to cut me open and remove all my organs and wash my body cavity out...i lost 35# in 14 days. i had acne from head to toe on every inch of my body....
 
Tough to say....it's impossible to know unless you actually die and come back to life.
 
stoped breathing at 3 weeks old. was dead for a lil bit, then came to life in the ambulance. got a hernia when i was 9 months old, and the operation went wronge and i got infected. almost died then. tried to kill myself at the age of 15. that didnt work. had a knife pulled on me many of times. oh and when i was 11, i fell off of a peir, into the sea and my bro jamp in after me, when the currants were pulling me out.

oh and come to think of it.... when i was 7 my dad was suposed to pick me up from school but my uncle came instead, and phoned my dad to tell him, and in that hour my dad had a big crash and his car was a wreck, evrything in peices , the car broken into 3 bits, he was lucky to live..... fucking hell im kinda lucky to be alive.......Damm

Had a few good icu stays growing up. Hit by a car going 45mph when I was 13. Lying there not being able to see or talk, wondering if I'm gonna live for the first 4 days or so. Got lucky, but was messed up bad for 3 months. Out of any physical activities for about 8 months. Permanent eye damage. Only critical for a few days though. Then 2 years later I got in a 3 wheeler wreck, (remember those)? bad head injuries again. A few bad seizures, in ICU for a while. No permanent damage there. I supported many local hospitals growing up, but those were the bad ones.

I was skysurfing and spinning out of control at 150mph. Finally managed to deploy my parachute at 1000 feet above the ground (5 seconds from impact).
 
had a gun stuck in my face from a coke dealer when getting a buddy drugs,my buddy asked the dealer if he was a narc and next thing I know I got a fucking beretta in my face, that was fucking fantastic, quick thinking got me out of that

:lmao: I think I'm just lucky, I have countless "I could have been seriously injured or killed but walked away without a scratch" stories. One of my friends always used to joke that I had a "charmed" life.

Had a bullet hit my vest and one literally lodge into my helmet by a sniper while overseas.

Thank God for ballistic vests and helmets! (I'm still surprised it didn't go through the helmet). Another teammate got hit in the leg before our sniper took the guy out.

Nothing like the military boys. :)

I read the AAR of the US Army Medical Corps for Iraqi Freedom. Combat fatalities have been consistant since Vietnam. Fatalities during Iraqi Freedom were at half the rate of Vietnam and Desert Storm, due to widespread use of body armor and trauma plates.
