chef if it was legal you could grow the worst shit around and extract the THC if you really really wanted to

i completely agree with your point of view though.

thats exactly why the government isnt making it legal, because they have no idea how to tax it or anything. They dont even have any sort of roadside DUI test or way to know if your intoxicated with it like alcohol.

Thye use this argument when defending the decision to criminalize marijuana.

Many prescription drugs will affect ones driving just as much as marijuana.

At what point do they say, "we can't prescribe that....we would have too many accidents." Does this concern enter the equation?

exactly.

another shining example of the hypocrisy of our drug laws.

If you buy a tomato in the store you pay sales tax. You could also grow it. But the majority of people would just buy it and pay the tax rather than homegrow it. It is a matter of convenience. Same with many plants.

If you really wanted to, you could homegrow tobacco to make your own cigs. The scale of the operation though wouldn't be enough to matter though b/c of the HUGE tobacco plantations that they use. 1 dudes plant in his basement wouldn't even make a dent into a large scale operations production that the govt. would utilize if it was legal.

Making shine is NOT illegal, only in the most backward fuck deliverence counties. SELLING it or making it with intention to distribute or transport accross jurisdictional boundries will get yer ass two deep in revenuers.

So, the answer is: you can make your own beer. It would be much cheaper, and if you get really into it, un taxable. So why dont you? Because your beer would SUCK.

Why would you grow skunk in your back yard when you could go down to Harry the Tobacconist and say, "Harry, that 15 gen. Humbolt sensi you sold me last week was a little harsh, do you have something more mellow?", "Why yes, Mr. Van Bongmonster, I happen to have some Hybrid Key West Lambsbret' in this week that is smoother than rear entry on a 19 year old."

You wont grow great shit. Great shit, in quantity, is a full time job, that requires PERFECT, NATURAL conditions. Hydro bud SUCKS compared to the real deal in medium acidity, high nutrient soil, grown under Jah Sun, instead of some Baba System Electric Screw Lights.

Even if you wanted to set up a three stage high end hydro facility, it would cost you 50k to get going, and what would you do with the excess crop? If you smoke it all, you will be a Zuchini Brain in no time flat. If you try and sell it, you get back into the "go to jail for selling it" shit.

Taxing dope, making dope legal, is the way to GREAT dope, consistently GREAT, less expensive dope, that creates revenues and creates no kids getting shot in drive bys.

We have a winner!!!

I wonder if Chef and Havoc are related.
Love that post.

But why tax it? Just legalize baby!
