Hello all,
this summer I will be playing competitive soccer. I have been lifting now for about a year..I need to get my cardio back..and I also need to increase my speed. the problem is...how can I do this without losing muscle? especially if i train for speed. Also....any tips for being able to run forever without gasping for air as well as gaining speed? Thanks all!
 
You can't. However, long as your diet is good, you won't lose much muscle. But you can't have it both ways. You can't up your aerobic endurance and not expect to sacrifice a little muscle. Best way to go would be some HIIT, IMO.
