How big should you be, if you want to bounce?

I have been told to come apply for a door man job at a local club by a few employees... How big(weight wise) do you think you have to be to be a bouncer at a height of about 5'10? I know its mostly about how you handle situations... but I still am kind of unsure...

I worked as at one of the biggest clubs on LongIsland, not as a bouncer but......

If your the doorman at a club you don't need to be that big you'll just be taking passes and shit. The big guys watch the dance floor and bars and shit.

I am trained in Kung fu and other submissions and weigh 185ish at 5'6 and I cant get hired to bounce

I weigh 230lbs at 5'9" and have a first degree bacl belt and still wish I was bigger when I bounce

It all depends. I never had any trouble bouncing at my size... I think I weighed in at 225 when I was bouncing... I might be picking it up again... I'm about 15lbs heavier now though.

Size shouldn't really come into play, unless you are at a place that is renoun for its fighting. 90% of the people I threw out of the club, I talked them out. The other 10%... well...
