How bad does olive oil taste?

I'm about to down a tablespoon. Is it as bad as flax seed oil?

just throw it down quick and have something else on hand to mask the taste straight away, or mix it in with a protein shake


or alternatively, there a lot of much nicer tasting oils out there, such as; almond, sesame, walnut, hazlenut etc.

Get fresh (as fresh as it can be) organic, it doesn't taste that bad. There are several different types too, go to http://www.spectrumnaturals.com/organicoliveoil.html that should give you some more info. Also if you ever need to do a liver flush (if you take any "supps" that may effect the liver), drink 1/2 cup of olive oil with 2 teaspoons of lemon juice, on an empty stomach you'll be good to go.

Why are you folks chowing the cheap stuff? Go extra virgin, tastes GREAT! You can flavor the stuff too, or buy flavored oils: roasted garlic, basil, chili, truffle, etc.

If you dont want to just hammer it, mix it with your food. Olive oil ruleth.

Mask the taste ???

Add it to the water before boiling it so it won't stick
I pour it over any Pasta I eat
A bit of it and balsalmic Vinegar for dipping bread .. mmmm

Buy EV or at least Pompean brand Olive Oil

rule of thumb is same with fish...if it smells or tastes funny, it's rancip or CHEAP! Pay a little extra and get a good quality............
