How about the gay marriage bans!?!?!

This argument is not about religion, it’s about the government supporting a gay marriage. Why does the government support marriage in the first place?

Every creature on this earth has a will to survive and continue the survival of its species.

The government interest in marriage is to help to raise a healthy next generation. In doing so they guarantee a more stable, successful country by giving married couples tax breaks which allow them to contribute more to the next generation.

So why should the government support gay marriage? As everyone knows, (at least I really hope so) it is impossible for gays to procreate. So why should tax payer money go towards something that is not going to reward society as a whole? The same goes for marrying family as metal retardation and other physical defects are very common as a result.

Gays do have the right to marry, just as everyone else does. However they cannot marry the same sex. Why should they receive specials right? I mean if someone is attracted to their six year old daughter shouldn’t they be allowed to marry? When does it stop? Right now we have so many special interest groups it almost sucks to be one of the “normal” population.

Someone has to provide this country with some boundries......I must be the only conservative person on this board....I think some things are left sacred....

You're not alone, I agree 100%.

I was (pleasantly) suprised at the outcome of this issue. I guess there are a few people left in this country who still hold to "sacred" traditions.

same sex marraige is just another example of the downfall of morals in this country, it is against the laws of nature for a guy to want to suck another guys cock, we were put on this planet to procreate not get some guys unit stuck up our ass, if you peter puffers and muff divers want to get it on go for it, but im soooooooooo fucking tired of these politically correct PUSSYS that live in this country trying to cater to all these fucking minority special intersest dumb fuck groups, go fuck each other if you want but you arent getting married in this county because its not right, its not the principals this country was founded on and flat out its just plain ass fucking nasty

See gymgirl you are not alone. Most people disagree with same sex marriages. The ones that agree are just more vocal about it. The gays wouldn't have a chance if they put that out for a nationwide vote. The middle and southern states would whoop uo on California and fruity eastern states.

Homosexuality is only being accepted now because of the Hollyweird agenda.

By your reasoning we should also not marry any heterosexual couples that don't plan on having children. What if you married somebody and found out they were sterile. Would you like the government revoking your marriage?

Now let me ask you this with out starting a war.....IS being gay a learned thing or is it a genetic thing....If you can prove to me that it is from the genes then I might think about changing my mind until then no

Out of the dozen gay people I know ...As they were growing up there was just a sense that something was different with them. They weren't attracted to the opposite sex. Generally each one, in a quest for something that "felt" right, tried being gay, and it did. Most of them fought it for a while and some still haven't come out to their parents.

Does that sound like a choice to you?

This banning bullshit is just another reason for me to be pissed off about this Puritanical (word?) nation. The state should have nothing to say about this issue at all. Strictly personal, IMO.

Yet another step backwards.

Zero you know I like ya but you are just totally wrong on this. It is the govt job to make sure its nation survives. And they(the smart ones) know that so goes the family so goes the nation. It has happens to every other fruity nation in history that allowed homosexuality to prevail. It angers God and you don't want to anger God.

Wow you are so close minded. What in the HELL does your six year old daughter have to do with same sex marriages??? We are not talking about legalizing pedifilia, we are talking about two consenting adults who are in love with each other being allowed to have a legal union in the eyes of the law. This has NOTHING to do with pedifilia, beastiality or any of the other things you people have mentioned.

Homosexuality is not learned behavior, it is genetic. What do you want to do next, bring back laws that will punish people for having dark skin... or reduce rights of people with blue eyes????

Without adding to the war, can you prove to me that it is a learned thing? To be honest, I don't the answer-I'm not sure anyone does. I too have gay friends and have asked them this same question. They give the same answer-they knew from an early age that they were "different". How would one learn to be gay? I didn't learn to be straight, I just am.

As for gay marriage, I say who cares. Let them be married if they want to. Why should straight people be the only ones living in shitty marriages? Just kidding:) Seriously though, if gays want to marry, let them. What right does anyone have to say that they are wrong. Yeah, it's in the bible but do you have any idea how many truly archaic things are in the bible in addition to that? How many things would not be legal today that we would think were absolutely ridiculous? Things change, times change. If they didn't or you don't think that they should, take a minute to think about where we would be now in so many other aspects. This is a marriage-not technology, not medicinal, it won't change the results of the election-what I'm saying is-it's not a world/life changing or altering issue unless you're the gay who wants to get married.
