House arrest aint so bad...

I recieved my DUI 7 years ago and am still paying for it in outragious insurance policies. I believe in one more year it will clear from my driving record.

I have a friend that has been pulled over at least 4 times (that I know of) wasted. Two of those times I was in the car with him against my better judgement. One of those times he was pulled over full purposfully swerving into the car next to us to start shit with some guys. The cop was driving right behind us. On ALL accounts he was let go (making someone else drive), by simply flashing his Marine ID. Such fucking bullshit. He still drives wasted all the time, and I have since stopped talking to him. Plus this is the same guy that tried to kiss me. :(

can u blame him for the kiss?

here in Ma they have the melanies law...You do 30 days in house, or 14 day inpatient care, or if the judge likes you you may get outpatient classes and services..All with probation and pee tests..And obviously loss of license and after you receive it again you Have to get the antilock device on it. And of course it is MA out of all 3 possible situations you obviously get rammed up the ass in fines. (this is 2nd offense)...3rd offense you are most likely fucked here in MA.

sounds like you know the laws pretty well?

Indeed I do. Currently in college with a major in criminal justice. Not to mention the fact that my favorite section of the city newspaper is the court log/ police log. I see the same sentence being given for the same offense, it then becomes a known fact that this is what the offender gets. Obviously there are always other factors in the sentencing guidelines as to the offenders past criminal history, etc. However the sentence usually stays roughly the same as the last guys.

Also MA made a big to-do about the new Melanies law and how it affects each DUI/DWI offense. Offense 1 is usually a breeze but obviously the more times you commit the same crime the more shit you get.
