House arrest aint so bad...

Yeah just wait till you wanna make a quick run to the store and the p.o shows up.

with a torn tendon in my knee and having to use GD cruthes to get around; i feel like i'm under house arrest...:xeye:

% year license loss, holy fug, you must have blown. What did you blow (both times), accident involved(either time)?

Dang that is a bit harsh...What state were you convicted in?

There must have been other charges than just a dui 2nd offense to be getting house arrest..Or did your lawyer offer that as a plea?

Driving your man around wasn't fun for either of you...

Never been in an accident i blew a .095.

My first Dui was 02 second in 08.

I had a driving on suspended charge in 05.

These 3 offenses triggered a habitual traffic offender violation.

Colorado,No other charges.

I can apply for a restricted license this summer.

I'll have to drive with a interlocken device for 4 years.

I cab would have been cheaper.:biggrin:

You can sell crack in NC and not get penalties like that.

LOL...Dui's in Colorado bad idea.

I'm lucky that i have money to pay for this shit, some of these poor smucks i run into are completely fucked.

I remember when I drank and drove I was really tanked and took an on ramp that I never usually took. Almost went over the dang thing.
Scared the living shit out of me.

Shouldn't have been so stupid as to do it again!
Well whatever, another country heard from, right...Sure you dont need a lecture.

here in Ma they have the melanies law...You do 30 days in house, or 14 day inpatient care, or if the judge likes you you may get outpatient classes and services..All with probation and pee tests..And obviously loss of license and after you receive it again you Have to get the antilock device on it. And of course it is MA out of all 3 possible situations you obviously get rammed up the ass in fines. (this is 2nd offense)...3rd offense you are most likely fucked here in MA.

doudt?

Dude you hitting the sauce tonight too?

No i don't drink anymore but thanks for letting me know how stupid i am.
I fucked up and i'm taking responsibility for my crimes.
I'm paying a heavy price for committing a victimless crime.

A victimless crime, What the FUCK is wrong with you?

You are as ignorant and as rude as they come buddy..
How the fuck can endangering others be victimless?
2 fucking times no less...You should have learned the first time..There are victims out there, you took a huge risk in what you did..And you know what asshole, for your fucking attitude you deserve a hell of a lot more than house arrest!
I wish I was in that fucking court room, but I am willing to bet then you were not stating it was victimless, you was prob all willing to suck the DA's cawk so you could get let off on easy charges begging for their acceptance to your apologies for your wrongdoings. For committing a crime. PAL, all crimes have victims. There is NO such thing as a victimless crime, not possible...

Oh you are so clever!

And no you did not invite me into this thread...This happens to be a public forum, if I choose to post in this thread I will and I will say as I please. If I want to post about how negligent you are, how ignorant you are, or how rude you are than I freely will. You want to post about how you got a DUI second offense (which I would keep to myself as that is semi embarrassing) and how you feel it was a victimless crime and you want people to feel bad because you got punished for a CRIME then ok. But don't expect everyone to agree and feel bad for you.

Where did i mention i need symphony? I was simply stating a fact.

Maybe hoping that someone could learn from my mistakes.

Then you come along with your big fucking mouth.

All crimes DON'T HAVE VICTIMS you fucking idiot.

I blew a .095 hardly shit faced a couple of years age i would have been under the limit.

They dont?

Name me 10 that don't have victims!

Total bullshit, nice google though..It may be classified as a victimless crime, however there is always a victim. Let's see here:

* Drug Use- Family members are not victims from the pain and theft and fear of overdose? Please
* Prostitution-The married mans wife is not a victim while he is out paying to fuck?
* Self-Defense
* Bearing Arms
* Nudity- Yes I want to see everyone elses cawks, balls, tits, and ass..So don't my innocent children!
* Swearing- Young children who should not be taught those vulgar words are not victims?
* Speeding- Can't you kill someone by hitting them with your car while going rapid speeds?
* Drinking in Public-Yes because drunken people in public will never be irrational and will never get too drunk to where they cannot control their behavior but it wont affect anyone else!
* Euthanasia
* Homeschooling
* Driving without a seatbelt
* Driving a Motorcycle without a Helmet-What about the people that have accidents with motorcyclists without helmets that die..They dont carry guilt? They are not victims?
* Tax Evasion
* Jaywalking
* Gambling- The families that go without money due to the gambling addiction definitely are not victims!!
* Sodomy (proscribed sexual behavior between consenting adults)
* Buying/selling/possession of sex toys
* Blue law violations (e.g., selling beer on Sunday morning)
* Child Labor
* Ticket scalping
* Vagrancy
* Transporting a child unrestrained- I know a man whose ex girlfriend was on her way to a party and did not belt in her 4 year old. Girl is now 13 years old and paralyzed, told she would not live past age 13 as the spine is fucked..She is not a victim at all!
* Fix-it tickets
* Statutory rape-And the rape VICTIM gets pregnant at a young age...That child is def not a victim as the father is a non participating rapist father!!!

Permission Crimes

* Providing various services without a license
* Building without a permit
* Driving without a license
* Use of the electromagnetic spectrum without a permit
* Holding a Party in a Public Park without a permit(Culver City, CA.)

Controversial

* Abortion
* Spanking
* Smoking
* Fireworks possession
* Serving "unhealthy" food
* Gay marriage

but yes, you are correct! Let's add drinking and driving to the list.

What's your definition of a victim?

How is my family victimized when I buy a dub sack and blaze a blunt? And who said the statutory rape victim gets pregnant? What about concealing a gun without a permit? You are just making up stories to go against the idea of victimless crimes to make it sound like there is a victim in every crime . However, there is not.

If my wife and kids were killed buy a drunk driver or buy a cop speeding to Domestic violence call it would make no difference they would still be dead.

Throwing all speeding cops in jail would not bring them back.
Nor does throwing all drink drivers in jail either.

What's your definition of a victim?

A victim is anyone that has been injured, harmed,destroyed or has been subjected to hardship,oppression or mistreatment.

One who is tricked, swindled, or taken advantage of.

obviously we know what your definition is.
Btw, we are all victims in this world that we live! In some way, shape, or form we have all been at one point a victim of people, circumstance, or reason.

I bet when someone commits a crime you think there a victim too "oh he came from a poor neighborhood, he only shot and robbed that girl to feed his starving children, have mercy on his soul"

There is Predator and there is pray.

Excuse me, are you talking to me?

No, I would never think that. Yes I would think that he was raised under terrible circumstances which could play a factor in his thinking process. However he is not the victim by any means. He made the choice to commit a crime. He should have know right from wrong. There are food pantries, etc that he could have went to. Hell there is fucking food stamps!
The real victim is "that girls" family that is now left without her in their lives. they are left to mourn her loss due to the idiocy of this nation!
thanks tho

So are u trying to say b/c u didnt prey on people while driving drunk, its not a big deal? I mean.....no officer, I wasnt trying to hurt anyone, I'm just the worlds biggest pos retard......thats why I shouldnt be punished....

jay, why did you get pulled over? i mean, how did you get caught? traffic stop? or something else?

No left turn signal in turn lane so he said, he had no camera.

10;30 on a tuesday PO said cop was citation mining.

Here in Colorado you can get a DWAI for a .02-.05 witch is the same thing as a DUI.It's not about public safety anymore.Like i said i blew a .095 quit drinking an hour before i left.In no way did i feel intoxicated.

Been there, done that... err... still dealing with it, almost 2 years later. Colorado does NOT fuck around when it comes to DUIs...

:beer:

I recieved my DUI 7 years ago and am still paying for it in outragious insurance policies. I believe in one more year it will clear from my driving record.

I have a friend that has been pulled over at least 4 times (that I know of) wasted. Two of those times I was in the car with him against my better judgement. One of those times he was pulled over full purposfully swerving into the car next to us to start shit with some guys. The cop was driving right behind us. On ALL accounts he was let go (making someone else drive), by simply flashing his Marine ID. Such fucking bullshit. He still drives wasted all the time, and I have since stopped talking to him. Plus this is the same guy that tried to kiss me. :(

Indeed I do. Currently in college with a major in criminal justice. Not to mention the fact that my favorite section of the city newspaper is the court log/ police log. I see the same sentence being given for the same offense, it then becomes a known fact that this is what the offender gets. Obviously there are always other factors in the sentencing guidelines as to the offenders past criminal history, etc. However the sentence usually stays roughly the same as the last guys.

Also MA made a big to-do about the new Melanies law and how it affects each DUI/DWI offense. Offense 1 is usually a breeze but obviously the more times you commit the same crime the more shit you get.

No to mention your hubby has a couple of DUI's.

After my ordeals my wife could tell ya a thing or two.

got a dui'er about 12 yrs ago.
i was on a dangerous path drunking and driving eagerly and willingly.
coulda caused some major grief for my family and others, glad i only crashed my car
and no injuries.

people dont learn after the first because the penalties for the first are not severe enough. Not severe at all.

i got:
-weekend in jail
3k fines and court costs
dropped from my insurance company and turned into high risk
liscense restricted for a year (could only drive to work and college)
nasty misd on my record
6 points added to my liscense (for crashing and destroying a guardrail)
name and incident info published in the local paper (public shame times 10, grandparents read that shit)
breathaylzer tests on the weekend for a YEAR (major suck)

i think that is pretty steep for a first offense

My husbnd has had two, his first was about 3-4k in court costs and he lost his license for a year, but applied for a work license so he could drive to and from work. He didnt get anything else. Also we had to apply for SR22 insurance but that was only an extra 25 bucks a month. He didnt even get supervised probation. Nothing.

The SECOND time around was much worse but still not as bad as your situation.

You had it pretty bad for a first offense but I think thats good. You never did it again right? Missouri must be totally different. They treat it like a traffic ticket mostly.

The newspaper thing is hilarious. God Im glad they didnt do that to John. My parents would have died if they saw my husbands name in there. Johnny's parents knew about it, but my parents would freak if they knew my husband had two DUI's since we wed. :worried:

i'd be lying to you if i said i was 100% perfect since then
95% perfect is more like it...still retarded, that 5% could change your life for ever i should fucking know better.
second offense is 30 days in michigan, 3rd offense a yr in county.
my bro's wife's dad is a repeat offender, 7 or 8 duis.
lost his liscense indefinetly, will never drive again...thankfully he is a reformed boozer and big AA member.
now he just works and smokes weed, rides his bike everywhere...fuggin must suck to be 55 and have no driving options

I've never had a DWI and I never will, once i drink (which is rare at best), i get a ride. Sounds like the penalities are fucking crazy. Glad i take the approach that i do.

If your husband is past the age of 12, isn't it about time you drop the 'ny' from his name. Damn, that is a pet peeve of mine.
