Umm, keystroke loggers are decidedly NOT hacking. It's more akin to covert social engineering, since you need access to their machine to install and configure it.
And of course the challenge is open to you, get my (or Happy's) EF account password and win 500 dollars and Happy's Saab.

I think I extended the offer on my elitemail account since I could no longer remember the password (it was some phrase from a hendrix song) - but I heard that is closed out now anyway, so it seems a bit unfair.
I would go so far as to bet that anyone couldn't get into my elite account here - apparently they don't restrict the number of attempts - so you can hit it with a brute force attack.
that said, I don't know my password, so good luck getting it yourself (and let me know it when you get it).
keyloggers are good if the person isn't computer savvy (saavy? either way) - if they are, then they suck ass among other things.
elite used to have a hole in it where you could get into someone's account. you wouldn't actually ever know their password, but you could steal the hash that is stored in the cookie and then log in as them.
but this hole was patched up with the updated vBulletin they finally installed.
