Home made post workout shake

How do home made post workout shakes compare to ready made stuff like surge and pro recover

the container for pro recover says it has eastern bloc adaptogens for recovery and ginko biloba, seriously if i just take a good whey powder with glucose, will it do as good as these expensive blends?

thanks

I believe it is just as good if not better.

What could be better then whey isolate and pure dextrose right after training. A lot of the "post workout formulas" sold use inferior proteins, and even have added fat which you don't want in your PW shake.

I put that shake together very inexpensively and it taste great. Even add a little cinnamon to the mix as a GDA and I'm set.

im seriously just gonna make my own shakes, im sick to death of all the hype and crap of sup co's

heck i might just have some cornflakes and tuna after training now

Perhaps for your 2nd PW meal, yes. But for your first PW meal stick with LIQUID.

Homemade is the way to go.

Suppdirect does have cheap dextrose but the shippign kilsl you.

I'm gonna get it from a local home brewing store next time. WOrks out cheapre.

As far as the whey, I just found a place called inovatech that is the BOMB! www.inovatech.com, search around on their website. $1.74/lb for WPC, $3.88/lb for WPI.

I go for the WPC because it's more cost effective and I'm not lactose intolerant.
