Can i get a decent home gym for under 500$$? Im very wary of using all cables especially for things like chest, but dont mind having a home gym with cables for other things. My gym just jacked the price up to 45$ a month, and i figure, im going to spend about 500$ there in a year, maybe ill just buy one for my house. That way i wont be paying for the gas in the gym owners new HUMMER.

yeah, thats true. i guess the only thing im going to miss is dumbells and maybe leg press, preacher curl bench, etc. hehe.. but that is a good idea. i have to decide whether i want more available excersizes and be in the gyms atmosphere, or stay at home and save some money.

if you get creative, there are a plethora of exercises you can do, that you dont need a ton of equipment for. bands are not expenesive and can provide a ton of exercise variations. you can always buy the adjustable dumbbell handles that you put weight on just like a barbell.

Dude,

If your gonna spend 500$$ just get a membershipt at a local gym for a couple years. They will have everyhting you need and you don't have to make room for it in your house/garage. Besides someone has to pay for the gas.

If you have a 'Play It Again Sports' in your area, I would check that place out. They sell used (and new) fitness equipment.
Stuff there is cheap.
