I need some ideas on flooring for a work out area I'm Setting up in my house... Aprox 265 sq/ft down stairs cement foundation. I want it to look nice and not some mats laid over the carpet I plan on taking the carpet and padding out and having some Friends I know that install tile for a living do the work for me but they told me there not familiar with rubber tiles so it's up to me to research and find something nice... If anybody here's done this any advice or leads on some good flooring please post up.

Lol that guys intense!

I actually thought about that and painting it with some garage floor paint, they have some real nice stuff for that but not sure how it would hold up if i dropp the weights on it... I kinda do wana get some bumper weights

You think cement would be nice if I painted it with some high grade epoxy? I have a nice house and it needs to look nice and be functional.

Use cork.

My gym is on the top level of the house. To keep it from shaking the house, I had layers of plywood and high density rubber installed. Then the top level is cork. It looks very finished.

Do you ever drop weights? Would it hold up to that? And any chance we can see a pic?
Sounds like you put alot of thought and effort into it, must be nice.
