Holy Pump in my shoulders

sweed

Elite Mentor
Platinum
did ....
-standing OHP for 3 sets w/ 135 10 reps
-arnold presses with 50 in one hand and 60's in the other for 4 sets
-lateral raises with 50's and last set superset 50's 30's to 20's

lastly pec deck/ rear delt machine... 160 for 3 sets...

Throughout almost the whole workout my shoulders were soo pumped they hurt!! It was the best shoulder pump I have ever experienced!! I wonder what the pumps are like on gear!

though I would share my pumped up shoulder day with ya

wow, lateral raises with 50lb dumbbells, were your elbows extremely bent?

Please don't take offense to this, because I mean well.

Who cares?

I bet if this post read: "I did standing OHPs for 2 sets w/ 230 lbs for 10 reps, and that's it." your shoulders would be tremendously bigger than they are now. Train for size (and strength), not the pump. All that's really being pumped up is your ego. Especially considering that I'm sure your 50 lb lateral raises were more like lateral swing and drops.

ya im not the strongest guy here. but my post was for the PUMP.... This was the most pump my shoulders have ever been threw... ya i def used a cheat for lateral raises, but beleive me, it felt awesome to feel that burning in the shoulders. sumtimes cheating is a good thing, i dont use the 50's all the time... like last week i used 25's with a drop set of 15's.
I dont use heavy weight for presses, but my partner told me that my shoulders have grown a lot since september.
honestly from september to now, i have gone from 190 to 230 naturally, so that has to contribute to the training that I do.
No offense taken, we are Elite members and I respect your constuctive crit.

If you didn't see how it was constructive, read it again. If you still don't, then that's your problem. After reading your training philosphies you could benefit from it as well. You would do well to forget that the pump even exists, because it means NOTHING in terms of strength and growth.

Dude... that was negative.

A better example of a post would be "So you like the pump, eh? How's your strength progressing?"

And then, what if it is? The fact that he also likes getting a pump, which may not aid his strength goals, is a moot point if he's making progress anyway. Sounds like he is.
