Hobbies: to relax the mind/body and get you ready for training!

I like to work with my hands...drawing, beading, and other crafts.
pwr_machine's art work is incredible. Seeing it online really doesn't do it justice.

I like to draw, write, read, play golf, and play with my dogs. All of those things relax me.

A healthy sex life is number one. It’s very relaxing and it makes everything right in the world. Other hobbies include guitar playing, drag racing (at the track of course).

Benevolent A: ahhh, forgot (shame on me) about sex. And you're right about a healthy sex life.

Thanks all. The reason I began this is that after a break from artwork, I recently began drawing and sculpture again. It made me think that there was some sort of connection between my artwork and my training; especially when I specialize in the human form. Art has really helped me (during my competitive BB years), to visualize what I wanted to achieve in terms of physique development. And now, for strength oriented sports, it's helped in my focus. I can sit down with a pencil and paper and just focus on the task at hand; this has helped in training.

Also, there are discussions about techniques to promote CNS recovery. Sleep, massage, yoga, Tai Chi are just some of the techniques mentioned. But what about mental aspects of recovery? For a full sense of well-being?

I enjoy art. Not for the simple fact of just doing it, but it also relaxes my mind; unleashes the creative spirit, if you will. And that helps in everything else I do.

Does this make sense? :D

I really enjoy my cardio kickboxing class. It's fun and a great way to burn off all the shit I eat during the day!

Spending time with my bf is always fun. He's responsible for that silly grin on my face! It's great to be the girlfriend of a very skilled and enthusiastic guy...

;)

I used to feel quite nervous often before workouts. Just knowing how grueling it's gonna be & you're gonna have to somehow top what you did last time which of course can be hard sometimes. I don't think there's much to do to relax you, at least there wasn't for me lol! I just sit down quietly while I'm getting ready & listen to music.
