HIV+ and HIV- Couples

Just curious how many Mixed Status couples are on this board. I am currently dating a Man who is Positive and im Negative. He is the raddest and most wonderful man i have ever meet. We have Protected Sex. His status to me means nothing. He is perfectly healthy and has been positive for 2 years and is undetectable. I put myself in his shoes and i think what would it be like if i was positive and he was negative, and my conclusion is that i would want him to love me the same way i love him. I would recommend buying a book by Dr. Staurt Brody called "Sex at Risk".

In this book Brody reveals that his research indicates an extremely small % of couples where one partner is negative and the other is positive for this so called HIV virus does the neg partner seroconvert to "positive" if they only engage in vaginal sex-even w/o a condom.

Personally...I regard any and all positive reactions on the HIV antibody tests as false positive. These tests-and PCR-are junk science in regards to this HIV thing. Just my opinion.

Hope all is well. Something that bothers me about the antibody tests is why do they test for antibodies? Antibodies do not cause disease..they prevent it.

Why not test for the virus? PCR is no answer....without proper isolation of the so-called HIV virus they simply do not know if it is contamination or actual virus they are amplifying.

Cheaper yes...but an antibody test -even if a positive reaction is found a million times consecutively-is not proof of a viral infection.

And...I would not care about the cost as we are talking about a test that dramatically changes one's life. As you are aware there are rare cases of people committing suicide after being deemed 'HIV positive".

Yes, that is true that what is referred to as HIV has never been found or discovered.
The antibody tests do not test for actual virus, and PCR is of no value either as this so-called HIV has never been isolated, hence there is no way of knowing if the PCR is contamination or actual virus.

Roche-the maker of a popular "viral load" test kit called "amplicor" states-"The Amplicor HIV-1 monitor test is not intended to be used as a screening test for HIV, nor as a diagnostic test to confirm the presence of HIV infection" (Roche, 1996)

How do you explain people that have AIDS with no HIV Alan?

For the record, Luc Montegnier has never really claimed HIV is the sole cause of AIDS. He has always said that there must be cofactors. Look up some of Gallo's comments towards Montegnier about this sometime.
Monegnier even said after "Roman Effort" they could not isolate/purify this so called HIV thing. Gallo said something to respond to Montegnier's multifactoral comment like "he is a multifactoral idiot". Then later in the same interview Gallo himself states there may be other contributing factors......

As for someone's body becoming weaker perhaps we should look at why their body is becoming weaker.

Even if HIV is proven to exist and to cause the depletion of CD-4 cells how does it cause massive weight loss? It doesn't. What does cause massive weight loss is malnutrition, cocaine and other rec drug abuse, and especially antiviral therapy in the form of a chemotherapeutic drug called AZT.

AZT is a dna chain terminator-any cell that is involved in DNA synthesis that is in the presence of AZT will be killed, point blank. AZT has an affinity for cells that engage in DNA most often-being cells of the bone marrow and the digestive tract.
WOuld you like to know what is causing the weight loss? AZT destroys the digestive system and if one can not properly digest food, well they will lose alot of weight.

As for using testosterone and growth hormones, and anti estrogens-I am all for that, even if I was not into the BBing lifestyle I would use such products. I sincerely believe these products extend life and improve the quality of life as we age. I am sure Einstien will agree with that as I have read many of the articles he has posted at his home board-especially about GH.

I agree Alan, something needs to be done for PWA's. However, we need to identify the real cause of AIDS. HIV is just a red herring.
